Nhat Tian Bao: The Last Boy of 1088; owning a chain of stores in the US after leaving the spotlight

Referring to 1088, few people in the 8x or 9x era do not know. In particular, the name Nhat Thien Bao is also 1 of the faces that received the most favor from the audience during the days of operation.

1088 is a popular boy band of the early 2000s and received support and guidance from the late musician Do Quang. Group 1080 has 5 members: Ung Hoang Phuc, Nhat Tinh Anh, Dien Thai Toan, Van Quang Long and Nhat Thien Bao.

In 2002, the disbandment of group 1088 shocked Vietnamese showbiz. After that, all 5 members continued their solo singing activities. Two other former members have long since retired from singing and lead relatively private lives in the United States. Among them is Nhat Thien Bao, his real name is Lam Quang Vu, born in 1974 in Ho Chi Minh City.

During the period of independent singing, he launched many products such as: Great Love, Angel Wings, Not Forgotten Vow ... Having encountered many obstacles when he pursued a professional singing path alone, in 2007 he decided to settle down and work in the United States.

Because of freedom, Nhat Thien Bao's first album was quite hard and did not leave a mark. However, in the first album, Nhat Thien Bao experimented with many genres and boasted a variety of voices from the market songs Lullaby Anh Thousand Years (Le Quang), Sorrow in the Rain (National Bao), Sing Forever for Each Other (Vu Quoc Viet), add a bit of rock in Love Dream...

Not being constrained by any atmosphere means that the singer has to endure all the hardships, but this is also a good thing because Nhat Thien Bao has the opportunity to do many things for himself. First, in the second album with the theme How to know in advance, singer Nhat Thien Bao wants to build an image of a singer with personality but handsome or cute is not very necessary. So the whole image was taken by photographer Pham Hoang Nam with a wooden face, simple and without using photoshop.

Secondly, Nhat Thien Bao composed for himself the song "Dream of Happiness", a song inspired by Unbreak my heart and wrote 2 other songs.

Nhat Thien Bao confided: "Bao likes to do the simplest and most ordinary things. Likes to feel and see ordinary things. Strangely enough, ordinary things bring more emotion. The songs Bao composed, too, were simple and rustic. I was also afraid that the audience would not like the simplicity as much as I did, so I only introduced one song on the second album."

Although the image of 1088 has become a thing of the past, Nhat Thien Bao still loves to be mentioned as a member of this successful boyband. The last boy of 1088 still hopes he is like the other members of the group: continue to contribute to the overall prosperity of Vietnamese music.

Sometimes when colleagues go to the US to tour, Nhat Thien Bao still reunites and comfortably takes commemorative photos.

But for the past 13 years, he has shared little about his personal life. Around mid-February 2020, singer Hong Ngoc met with seniors and revealed that Nhat Thien Bao had a baby.

In August of the same year, Nhat Tinh Anh also visited the singer 7x and revealed that later, he began to explore and have certain successes in the culinary business and some other fields. After more than 13 years of retiring from singing, singer Nhat Thien Bao turned to a bakery and mini supermarket.

It is known that in the early days of starting a business in the country, Nhat Thien Bao spent 4 years focusing on learning English, and at the same time learning and adapting to life in a new environment.

Nhat Thien Bao's chain of stores is located on the central streets, with many tourists in the city of San Francisco. Since coming to the United States, he has focused on trading and taking care of his family, so he has no intention of returning to music.

On the occasion of coming to the US in early August, Nhat Tinh Anh visited Nhat Thien Bao and was glad that you have become the owner of 5 stable shops. One of them is large-scale, providing fresh Vietnamese food besides the main item is fast food.

"8 years ago, I went with Bao to see the premises and put down a deposit to rent the first store. Now Bao's career is so developed that I secretly admire him," said singer Nhat Tinh Anh. According to him, Nhat Thien Bao's success comes from his available qualities and hard work and determination.

Nhat Tinh Anh said he was closest to Nhat Thien Bao among the members of 1088. In the US, he did not have many friends, so each time he would arrange a time to meet Nhat Thien Bao. "Every time I go to San Francisco, the brothers talk a lot about the old days. Or on the occasions when Ung Hoang Phuc and I visited Bao, the three called Dien Thai Toan and Van Quang Long to talk together," Nhat Tinh Anh said.

Each reunion of the singers is filled with emotions because of the sincere sharing of life, work, friends. Having stopped performing arts for more than 10 years, Nhat Tien Bao rediscovered her theatrical memories when confiding in her friends.

After inviting Nhat Tinh Anh to visit the store, Nhat Thien Bao was busy taking care of the business. Meanwhile, the "Weeping Moon" singer took advantage of wandering the city and taking commemorative photos. "I love taking pictures and I love 'being' to take pictures. We have a lot of pictures after every meeting," he said. Nhat Tinh Anh lives with his family in San Jose, about an hour's drive from Nhat Thien Bao's residence.

Every time he visits, he waits for you to finish his work to eat, chat and take pictures. "We have the same fun personalities. When the group disbanded, the two remained close and supported each other in their own work. Sometimes, I get to try new dishes at Bao's shop," he said.
