Musician Tam Anh, whose real name is Tran Cong Tam (29/07/1948 - 17/06/2006), is one of the typical musicians of the golden music genre before 1975. He is widely known for his immortal song "Night Street" and a series of songs with the theme "Love Story No...", whose works have made a deep impression in the hearts of many generations of Vietnamese music lovers. His life and career, from his years of passion for music to the events after 1975, is a memorable story of a musical talent.
Tran Cong Tam was born and raised in Saigon on July 29, 1948. Unlike many musicians with a family tradition of art, Tam Anh's path to music is quite special. He studied at Phu Tho Technical School, a school famous for technical training. After graduating, he worked in the tax industry for a while. However, his passion for music has always burne.d in him, prompting him to turn in a different direction.
In the late 1960s, Saigon was a vibrant cultural center with many imported music trends. It is in that context that the fire of passion for music in Tam Anh is growing stronger and stronger. 1968 marked an important turning point in his life when the song "Night Street" was born. The song quickly spread and was loved by the public, bringing Tam Anh's name to the fans.
