Just 2 months ago - when Boys Planet 999 started airing on Korean Mnet - Nguyen Thanh Cong was still a strange face to the audience. After 2 months, Nguyen Thanh Cong gradually attracted a large number of fans thanks to the praised performances at Boys Planet 999.

Nguyen Thanh Cong said that he was invited by a Korean employee of the program via his personal page to join Boys Planet 999. At first, he was quite confused and worried that the personal account of the above employee was fake. pose.

"She sent me an application for the program. However, I thought I was deceived because her personal page has very little information. After she sent me all the information about the program, I trusted and decided. When I met her in person, she explained that she knew me through social media and wanted to invite me to participate. The application process until I completed the audition at the casting round and was approved by the program to apply. I went to Korea to film quite quickly, about a month," Nguyen Thanh Cong shared.

Since receiving the invitation to participate in the program, Nguyen Thanh Cong only had about a month to prepare, from choreography, music to language, so everything was quite rushed. According to Nguyen Thanh Cong, his biggest difficulty when participating in the program is the language. However, thanks to the support of another Vietnamese contestant, Dang Hong Hai, Nguyen Thanh Cong did not face too many obstacles in terms of communication.

Nguyen Thanh Cong said that in the first round, he lived in the same dormitory room with Dang Hong Hai and two Japanese contestants. The male singer teaches Japanese trainees Vietnamese and introduces them to the beauty of Vietnamese culture and cuisine.

Before that, many contestants participating in Mnet's survival shows "wailed" because the training and filming process was too harsh. Nguyen Thanh Cong admitted that the process of filming Boys Planet was difficult. But he found this to be a valuable experience. He is happy to be exposed to a new environment and professional artists.

In about 4 months of joining the program, he spent most of his time training. Nguyen Thanh Cong said he and the contestants on the show often had to get up at 2 or 3 am to prepare for recording. Not to mention the rehearsal time, just the whole recording process usually lasts a day, even two days in a row without taking a break. For example, in the first round, because there were 98 contestants, so adding the time to make up, change clothes and record, Nguyen Thanh Cong did not rest for 48 hours continuously.

With the next rounds, Nguyen Thanh Cong and all candidates rehearse from early morning to 12pm. They returned to the dorm to rest, prepared for about 30 minutes, then continued to the filming location. On recording days, Nguyen Thanh Cong could only take advantage of sleeping in the car.

Before joining the show, Nguyen Thanh Cong did not think he would appear on a Korean live show and enter the entertainment world that way. The candidate's goal at that time was only to develop activities in Vietnam.

When asked about his feelings when entering the first round with the witness of nearly 100 contestants, Nguyen Thanh Cong replied that he was shocked. Nguyen Thanh Cong explained: "Everybody is beautiful, neat and professional. Looking at everyone, I am worried. However, fortunately, Dang Hong Hai competes with us, so we always encourage each other that everything will be fine. Stop".

Nguyen Thanh Cong confided that he and Dang Hong Hai had many memories during the exam. "The show was recorded at the beginning of December 2022, my birthday was also at that time. Because I was busy preparing for the show, I even forgot my birthday is December 8. The day after that, ie 9/ 12, when I opened the diary, I remembered that my birthday had passed. That afternoon, the contestants when they heard my birthday sang together. The moment when nearly 100 people sang happy birthday in unison, it made me very happy," Nguyen Thanh Cong said.

When asked about the many Korean entertainment companies contacted after becoming famous thanks to participating in the program, Nguyen Thanh Cong would like to keep it a secret. He said he is always ready to come to Korea as a trainee if there is a good opportunity.
