According to Huong Tram's disclosure, she started to have a crisis when she was 17-18 years old but often ignored. Until she competed in The Remix, her condition worsened. "At that time, every time I ate, I would vomit, for no reason at all. Later, I realized that it was because I was so stressed that my stomach couldn't load food," she said.

The most serious time was in 2018, Huong Tram showed signs of regularly peeling the skin of her hands until she was bleeding. The pain makes the singer of Nghe feel comfortable. Along with that is constantly falling into a state of stress, stress to insomnia. Most of them stay up all night, and can only sleep after 2-3 days of "looking at the ceiling".

The prolonged condition forced the singer to use sleeping pills, but it only worked for the first time. When she was "tired" of the drug, insomnia continued to torment her. "There were many nights when I couldn't sleep, and then I cried alone," Huong Tram recalls the crisis.

Chronic insomnia makes Huong Tram exhausted, and still has to live in the whirlpool of performing work, so at times, she feels like a half-dead person. "I don't want to see anyone, but I still have to keep working, I have to smile even though I really just want to cry," she said.

Being famous too quickly at a young age has made Huong Tram not strong enough to face the pressures of work and the market. She no longer feels showbiz is as rosy as what she aspires to.

After 6 years of struggling, Huong Tram realized that her illness would not be cured by any psychiatrist but herself. And she took a wise action to give up the glory and fame to go to the US to study, and also to find a peaceful life that if she still lived in showbiz, she would hardly have a complete life.

Up to now, Huong Tram has gradually regained positive energy. She sleeps more and is no longer pressured by work. Sometimes, she still goes to the show on weekends so as not to miss her job, not to consider it as her main job as before.
