The g.irl's husband's family many times expressed surprise when their daughter-in-law brought "weeds" in the garden into the kitchen to cook into a dish, but then could not resist the attraction of this dish.

The Vietnamese bride named Huynh Hoa has followed her husband Alex to France for 4 years. They own a mountain house in the remote 88 region of wine country. In addition to the young couple, this family is also lived with Alex's parents, whose life is busy but experienced.

It is known that before reaping the current "sweet fruit", Huynh Hoa used to "scratch the scales", cry all the tears for a long time at the beginning of the journey. Accordingly, more than 1 year of diligently learning French, since she only knew a few basic sentences such as greeting, introducing her name, she has obtained a B1 degree, qualified for a 10-year visa.

At the end of 2021, holding a B1 degree, Huynh Hoa aims to find a job to be able to survive in the country. However, things were not easy, Hoa sent applications to many places but had to wait a long time to receive a response. At this point, she simply thought that because she lived in the countryside, she didn't have much work to do.

After a call from the recruiter, the Vietnamese bride was offered a job at a sushi counter at a supermarket, which was the same job she saw fit at the time. It seemed that she could last long with this job, but after about 1 month the g.irl decided to quit.

Because, in just the first 2 weeks, Hoa's manager made extremely strict rules that made her lose her lunch break. This was truly the first s.hock of her life. Comforted by her mother-in-law, Hoa is determined to make the rest of the month so as not to lose her trust.

Once she kept up with the pace, she continued to be scolded unreasonably by her superiors. At this moment, she suddenly realized that she was being discriminated against, not that she was inferior. And then the young woman also gave up the job that she had so hard to find.

After quitting her job, Hoa and her husband returned to Vietnam for a few months, until returning to France, she continued to "spread" job applications with the desire to work as a cashier, but waited forever for no recruiter to contact. It wasn't until a supermarket near her home held an in-person interview that Hoa participated and matriculated.

Before going to work, she and her in-laws farmed at home. In the garden, grandparents grow apples, plums, cherries, potatoes, carrots, tomatoes, walnuts, chestnuts ... Hoa experimented with all kinds of familiar fruit trees in Vietnam such as kohlrabi, gourd, squash, perilla, centella asiatica, bamboo ...

For Hoa, farming takes care of her crops as a way of healing her soul, helping her create her own space. "Although planting trees is a dead plant, even cacti, so when I started gardening, I was a little worried. The fruiting tree is so happy because my house is in the mountains, the day and night temperature is 10 degrees different," the Vietnamese bride said.

This is also the origin of the story of the daughter-in-law cooking "weeds" for her husband's family to enjoy. Huynh Hoa said that, at first, when they saw the two children outside the garden digging bamboo shoots, picking marjoram, and centella asiatica to cook, Alex's parents were extremely hesitant because they thought their daughter-in-law ... eat wild vegetables.

However, after tasting the food made by Hoa, the whole family was fascinated. Her parents-in-law also often praised her culinary talent and openly tried everything her daughter-in-law cooked. The family's menu is now mainly Vietnamese: chicken bamboo shoots, meat bowls, tofu stock, lemongrass fried fish, fish soup ,...

Talking about her husband Alex, Hoa shared that during their nearly 6 years together, she was very happy and happy. Alex is an optimistic person, has a lot of positive energy and is very smiling. He understands homesickness when his wife leaves the country, so he is always gentle and patient with her.

Especially, when Hoa did not have a job, whenever Alex went to the company's headquarters in Paris for a meeting, he always brought his wife with him. On vacation days, Alex also arranged to visit here and there with his wife. So far, when the vacation schedule is difficult to arrange together, Alex still spends the weekend with flowers and helping his parents plant the garden.

Moreover, this guy knows how to "win heart" that is to speak Vietnamese very well. Originally, Alex had more than 3 years of stay in Vietnam, and had a Vietnamese wife, so he was determined to speak Vietnamese fluently. And yet, Alex also loves Vietnamese food, especially what his wife Hoa cooks.

No matter how busy his work is, Alex always spends 1 hour a day learning Vietnamese, and talking to his wife 90% in Vietnamese. Influenced by his wife's honorific manner, Alex said every sentence was "yes", "yes", "yes", "wife",... Alex even knew how to joke like, "Oh folks, Alex is pregnant. Gourd in the garden!"
