On February 19, the People's Procuracy of District 1 (HCMC) issued an indictment against model Nhikolai Dinh for "illegal possession of prohibited substances". With the amount of Methamphetamine from 0.1 gram to less than 5 gram, Nhikolai Dinh and 9 defendants face prison sentences from 1 to 5 years.

In the same case, the three defendants, including Trinh Thi H (56 years old) and her two sons, were prosecuted for "illegal trading of banned substances", with a penalty of 7 to 15 years in prison. Previously, on June 25, District 1 Police, Ho Chi Minh City announced that they had prosecuted and temporarily detained Trinh Thi H (born in 1969) and her two sons for illegal trading of banned substances. Among those prosecuted was actress and model Nhikolai Dinh.

According to the People's Police Newspaper, after a period of monitoring, on the evening of June 13, the Police Team investigating drug crimes of District 1 Police arrested a group of 10 people violating drug laws. When arrested, the subjects were carrying 1-2 packages on their person. A quick test showed that all tested positive for drug laws. At the police station, the subjects confessed that they knew Trinh Thi H and her two sons who sold drug laws at the house in alley 263 Nguyen Trai, so they often went there to buy drugs.

At the investigation agency, the defendant Trinh Thi H stated that through friends on social networks, H bought illegal substances from an unknown person, then divided them into small pieces to sell again. In June 2024, H's two children helped sell with the defendant to receive wages and make a profit. Nhikolai Dinh stated that on June 13, 2024, he bought illegal substances from Ms. H's son for 250,000 VND for personal use, but was caught red-handed before he could use them.
