On March 17th, the Miss Grand Pattaya pageant officially took place, attracting significant attention from the beauty pageant community in the region. Phatcharamon Thepraksa was crowned the winner.
At the end of the competition night, Phatcharamon Thepraksa was awarded the title of "Most Popular Beauty," receiving much attention. She is currently representing Chachoengsao province in this year's competition. This victory is not only an important step in Phatcharamon's journey but also marks her strong popularity among fans.
During the competition night, Phatcharamon and the other contestants went through various performance rounds, including beachwear, evening gowns, and Q&A. The beauty impressed with her appearance in a pink evening gown featuring a daring cut, highlighting her figure and confident demeanor. Not only did she stand out in terms of appearance, but she also scored points with her intelligent and fluent Q&A answers – a crucial factor in winning over the judges and audience.
Previously, Phatcharamon Thepraksa also participated in two preliminary rounds, the Swimsuit Competition and the National Costume Competition, along with 76 other contestants. Throughout the competition, she was praised for maintaining a consistent performance and showcasing professional skills despite her young age. Her perseverance and progress through each round have helped her gradually establish her position in this year's competition.
Phatcharamon's appearance quickly attracted attention from the Vietnamese beauty pageant fan community. On social media platforms, she received many congratulatory messages and words of encouragement from her homeland audience. This became a great source of motivation, helping the beauty queen gain more confidence on her journey to conquer the crown.
Phatcharamon is only 18 years old this year and has both Vietnamese and Thai blood. Her mother is from Quang Binh province and moved to Thailand to live and work when she was very young. The stories about her homeland, Vietnam, that her mother told her since childhood have nurtured in her a special affection for her roots.
Sharing her reasons for participating in Miss Grand Thailand, Phatcharamon said that she not only pursued her personal dreams but also wanted to tell her family's story. In particular, she wanted to pay tribute to her mother – a woman who left her homeland at the age of 16 to build a life abroad. For her, the beauty pageant journey is not just about winning a title, but also a way to spread resilience and pride in her roots.
The beauty queen expressed her hope to continue receiving support from the Vietnamese community both at home and abroad. According to her, this support will be a source of strength to help her overcome future challenges and move closer to her ultimate goal.
In fact, Phatcharamon is not the only case of a contestant of Vietnamese descent participating in this competition. Previously, in 2023, Paulius Prajakrattanakul – representing Nakhon Phanom province – impressed by winning the 5th runner-up title. She is a beauty queen with Thai, Vietnamese, and Chinese ancestry. Even further back, in 2016, Buppha Nilsawat also represented Bueng Kan province and won the Best National Costume award.
The participation and success of contestants of Vietnamese descent at Miss Grand Thailand demonstrates the growing appeal and influence of this community in regional beauty pageants. According to plan, Miss Grand Thailand 2026 will continue with several preliminary competitions before the grand finale, scheduled for March 28th. The winner will represent Thailand at the international competition.
