Recently, in an interview, CEO of Miss Cosmo - Tran Viet Bao Hoang did not hesitate to reveal that he had been offered to sell the prize many times. However, the organization's attitude made people proud.
Mr. Bao Hoang shared: "I think every organizer has faced this situation. And I am no exception, many people have raised the issue. I think answering frankly from the beginning will help avoid questions later.
In my business, there is no such thing as buying awards. I am very confident about this and can sit here and answer this question comfortably.
As a business, profit is certainly a priority, but profit must be understood in a long-term sense. When we define this as a long-term investment, we cannot just chase short-term profits.
For example, in the first year, if we want to make a profit right away, it is possible, but reducing the cost of organization or accepting sponsorship from small units will not be a long-term strategy.
We prefer to cooperate with large units, even though the cost is lower. Organizing a competition does not only depend on large scale and grandeur, but also requires a reasonable formula to create sustainable competition.
The organization includes many factors such as selecting contestants, working with national teams, preparing attractive prizes to motivate contestants. We also focus on professionalism and transparency in the organization, because only then will contestants trust and participate. Communication work also needs to be strong and close to international standards.
Finally, after the contestants are crowned, their tenure must create influence and have a positive impact on the community. All of these factors combined will create success for the competition."
Confiding about the difficulties in organizing a national contest, the CEO said: "The biggest difficulty is still the quality of the contestants. No matter how grandly organized a contest is, if the quality of the contestants is not good enough, the appeal of the contest will decrease. The audience cannot be interested in a contest where the contestants are not good enough. The quality of the contestants also determines the winner, who will bring value to the contest. A beauty queen who lacks prominence will not be able to create a spread in the community.
To have good quality candidates, the organization must be really good and there must be a strategy to take care of and manage the winners after they are crowned so that they have a successful term.
At the same time, we also have to cooperate closely with countries to select the best quality candidates who are well prepared. Therefore, preparing candidates is the deciding factor in the success or failure of the competition."
Although born later, CEO Bao Hoang believes that the brand will develop strongly.
"Miss Cosmo is a completely new brand, it's true that we were born late, but when we first started, we had certain benefits.
Firstly, we do not have to follow any formula, so we can be creative freely. Secondly, when organizing a new product for the ag.e of technology and social networks, we can apply technology to the organization process. Thirdly, when it is a new playground, the winning model is not yet framed, and the audience is very curious about the winners, thereby creating many new things and opportunities to redefine beauty pageants according to the standards of the new generation.
Everyone has their own ambitions when they do something. When participating in a race, of course everyone wants to win. But the important thing is to know your strength and know the time.
My vision is five years, and I believe that if we continue to work hard, the results will come. However, it is not always possible to win immediately when we want to. The important thing is to stay sober and realistic in every step. However, we cannot help but set goals, ambitions and expectations for the development of Miss Cosmo."
