In 2007, she received her bachelor's degree and returned home. Once again, she refused the limelight to put on the uniform of a customs officer in her hometown. Since then, she has been completely committed to this work. After that, she married her classmate in high school and had 2 sons. The 17-year-old girl used to just hang around from home to school, carefree with her friends, after just one night, the whole country knew about her. She is like a new symbol of beauty and wisdom for young people to follow. Being aware of that, Mai Phuong is not overwhelmed by invitations to advertising, filming, or going to events. She went back to being a girl specializing in Physics - just like she was.

Mai Phuong is admired by many viewers for her happy marriage with her first love. And to get that, Mai Phuong has her own secret. Mai Phuong said that she knew her husband as a high school friend, so that's why they have an understanding and easy sharing with each other. The husband is responsible for the family, so everything in the married life of the two also becomes more peaceful.

Mai Phuong said: "Work keeps taking me away, day after day, month after month. Then two children are born one after another. After work, I take care of two children. I believe that the home must be solid first, then myself. Only then can I think about my personal dreams. Mai Phuong's husband works in the police, and she works in the customs industry. Because of the special nature of work, the two often have little time for each other. Miss Mai Phuong said that day, she was a little sad because of this. Mai Phuong said: "My husband works in the police force, so he is very busy. When he first fell in love and got married, seeing that he spent most of his time at work, to be honest, I was a little sad at times. Husband and wife living together should understand the work and share the hardship with each other, so since I have two boys, I try to arrange as much time as possible to take care of the children, help him feel secure in his work, and serve the country. Sometimes I feel that I pamper him more than he pampers me. But I'm happy for that, not angry."

Especially since Mai Phuong has a child, she has arranged time to take care of the family so that her husband can work safely. She also said that the secret to keeping the marriage fire is understanding and sharing with her husband's hardships. In married life, she keeps the best family atmosphere, limiting or not holding on to anger so that everything in the family becomes light and does not put pressure on both of them.
