18 year relationship with girlfriend

While unemployed, he had a serious traffic accident and had to be hospitalized for many months. During this period, the actor lived on borrowed money from friends and social insurance for the needy.

Regarding his private life, Ly Thuong Chinh shared with his girlfriend for the past 18 years. They are not married or have children. He said this was the will of his girlfriend because she had cancer and didn't want to get involved with Ly Thuong Chinh.

According to the actor, his girlfriend has repeatedly proposed to break up so that he can go to someone else and build a complete home. However, Ly Thuong Chinh disagreed. For many years, he accompanied his girlfriend in the treatment of a serious illness.
