Luong Hoa Dan: Miss Ethnic Vietnam runner-up, gave up her title to compete with Ky Duyen

Luong Thi Hoa Dan, born in 2001 in Hai Duong, is one of the prominent faces in the Vietnamese beauty industry. She has made a strong impression through many beauty contests and is currently a freelance model.

Hoa Dan was born and raised in a family with a tradition of loving and supporting her children. She always received encouragement from her family in all her decisions, especially when participating in beauty contests.

Luong Thi Hoa Dan started her career as a student at Thang Long University, where she majored in logistics and supply chain management. Standing at 1.77m tall and with impressive measurements, Hoa Dan quickly attracted attention in beauty contests. Currently, runner-up Luong Hoa Dan also tries her hand at modeling, while also getting acquainted with a new job as a sports MC and BTV.

The Miss Ethnic Vietnam 2022 contest is an important milestone in Hoa Dan's career. She overcame many strong competitors to win the first runner-up position. Throughout the competition, Hoa Dan not only impressed with her physical beauty but also with her intelligence and skillful behavior.

She once talked about the reason for participating in the Miss Ethnic Vietnam contest: "Each contest brings a different image, message and color. During this time, the things I am looking for and the energy I want to spread are consistent with the message of Miss Ethnic Vietnam 2022, so I decided to participate. Moreover, I have participated in many contests before, but this is the contest that changed my thinking the most, I struggled a lot with my thoughts, so I really appreciate and am passionate about it."

Before winning the title of First Runner-up at the Miss Ethnic Vietnam 2022 pageant, Hoa Dan participated in many other beauty pageants. In 2020, she participated in the Miss Vietnam pageant and entered the top 30 best contestants. This was an important stepping stone to help her become more confident and continue pursuing her passion.

After her success at Miss Vietnam, Hoa Dan continued to try her hand at the Miss World Vietnam contest. Although she did not achieve a high ranking, the experience from this contest helped her improve herself and prepare better for the next contests.

In 2024, Hoa Dan continued to compete in the Miss Universe Vietnam contest - the contest where Ky Duyen was crowned. She excelled and entered the top 16. This is a proud achievement, affirming her position in the Vietnamese beauty industry. At the time of registering for the contest, Hoa Dan also surprised everyone because she already had a title. The beauty queen shared about this decision: "The attraction and many changes in the format of Miss Universe Vietnam 2024 are what made me decide to put my name on the contest list. When I heard the news that I would "fight" in Miss Universe Vietnam 2024 - one of the prestigious and long-standing brand value contests, my family and everyone supported me very much.

In addition, many people have known me from the Miss Ethnic Vietnam 2022 contest, so they have enthusiastically cheered for me on my journey to conquer the Miss Universe Vietnam 2024 crown. That is the happiest thing I have felt up to this point."

Talking about her situation, Hoa Dan shared: "Since I was a chil.d, I have been quite independent. I like to do everything independently, so for the previous beauty contest or at Miss Universe Vietnam 2024, I also took care of everything myself. I believe that no matter who you are, no matter what title you achieve, you are always the one who understands yourself best.

My family is also the "big guy" who takes care of me a lot on my journey to Miss Universe Vietnam 2024 this year. But they are the "big guy" in terms of emotions. Because for me, family love and support are the greatest assets I have had throughout my journey participating in beauty contests."

Regarding love, the beauty queen expressed her opinion: "I like a simple and emotional person. When there is a warm person next to you, you will always feel secure to do everything. Whether you stumble or succeed, a man with a warm heart will be enough to support you. I believe so."

"Everything that happens has a "signal from the universe", I believe so. From my perspective, every relationship, every choice has its own lovely points. Just believe in yourself in every decision, no matter what "cloud level" we are in, we will always receive love", Hoa Dan added.
