HAGL graduates, 10 years of studying come to an end, Mr. Duc is pleased

Not only shining on the field, Cong Phuong, Xuan Truong and the HAGL players also "scored" excellently on the path of education when they officially graduated from university, closing a 10-year journey of studying with determination.

On December 19, 2024, at the University of Physical Education and Sports in Ho Chi Minh City, a meaningful event took place, marking an important turning point in the careers of talented young players: Cong Phuong, Xuan Truong, Tuan Anh and their teammates in the first batch of HAGL JMG Academy. After 10 years of tirelessly pursuing their passion for football and studying hard, they officially became new graduates, receiving their diplomas with excellent achievements.

In the memorable journey about ten years ago, the generation of Cong Phuong, Xuan Truong, Tuan Anh "shocked" Vietnamese football with the impressive appearance of the Vietnam U19 team. Those days were not only the return of faith in the country's football but also the beginning of a long journey that not everyone could persevere. While the players competed in major tournaments, with a tight schedule, they still steadfastly pursued their studies.

Bau Duc, the founder of HAGL Club, has always affirmed the importance of education alongside football. He has created conditions for players to not only train physically but also to improve their knowledge, helping them to improve themselves not only on the field but also in life. That is the reason why Cong Phuong and his teammates always study in parallel with football, overcoming the challenges of a harsh competition schedule and online courses when playing abroad.

The graduation ceremony on the morning of December 19 was an emotional moment for the players, as they received their diplomas from their teachers, teammates and families. Cong Phuong, with eyes sparkling with joy, shared: "This is a great honor for me and my friends. We could not have achieved this without the support of HAGL Club and Ho Chi Minh City University of Physical Education and Sports." Cong Phuong's sincere words of thanks expressed his deep gratitude to those who have accompanied him and his teammates throughout the 10-year journey.

Le Van Truong, an excellent goalkeeper with an excellent graduation certificate, could not hide his pride. He shared: "Having a university degree will help us prepare better for the future, especially when we can become coaches or sports instructors."

HAGL has about 20 players graduating from the Ho Chi Minh City University of Physical Education and Sports, including some prominent faces such as Cong Phuong, Xuan Truong, Tuan Anh who graduated with honors. Striker Van Toan and defender Van Thanh were also on the list of graduates but were not present to receive their diplomas because they were busy with the Vietnamese team participating in the AFF Cup 2024.

A touching highlight of the ceremony was the image of Ms. Ngoc Bich, wife of the late coach Duong Minh Ninh, receiving the diploma on behalf of her late husband. This was a special moment, reminding everyone of the sacrifices and silent contributions of teachers in the development journey of players.
