Lingling Kwong: Thai's first HHHV copy, "soaring" thanks to a blockbuster movie

Although he had previously participated in many works of CH3, it was not until recently, when the soap opera The Secret Of Us aired, that Lingling Kwong's name resounded far beyond the territory of the Golden Temple.

Lingling Kwong has a Hong Kong father and a mother from Kalasin Province, Thailand. At the age of 17, the actress moved to Thailand to study and develop her career. Lingling can speak 3 languages: Thai, English, Chinese (Cantonese, Mandarin).

Lingling Kwong's family consists of 4 people: her parents, aunt and younger brother. The actress rarely shares information about her family on social networks.

Before arriving in Thailand, Lingling's Thai capital was zero. So at first, the actress struggled to learn the language, while trying to adapt to a new lifestyle and culture.

"Ling had never learned Thai before, just came and adapted. Sometimes I don't understand what the sentence is, sometimes the meaning of the sentence will be broader, and I will even be teased by my friends. Because I didn't understand, I was a little shocked at times," she shared with Springnews.

As a child, Lingling wanted to become a flight attendant because this job helped her to travel to many places around the world. "When a flight attendant passes by, I immediately feel admiration. I find them very talented and beautiful. The work also creates a communication environment with people of different nationalities and languages," the actress said.

As she grew up, Lingling realized that there were many other diverse careers to pursue and help herself experience more. The actress chose tourism at Khon Kaen University International College of Tourism Management because this is a program that uses English to teach, suitable for people with limited Thai capital like her. Lingling personally also likes English and the travel industry, this combination partly fulfills her childhood dream of being a flight attendant.

In an interview with MGR Online, Lingling Kwong shared that she is a lively person, often participating in school activities, as a result, she has also made many new friends and is willing to be helped by everyone.

Lingling Kwong can play the guitar. The actress has a simple lifestyle, prioritizing comfort. Most of her free time, she will read books, watch movies, and play musical instruments.

"I like romantic movies like A Little Thing Called Love. When I first came to Thailand, I asked my mother to buy me a guitar and learn how to play." On social media accounts, the actress occasionally posts videos of her humming along to Chinese or Thai songs.

Lingling Kwong is a type of sports addict. Although she has a busy work schedule, she will take advantage of going to the gym to exercise, thanks to which the actress owns a slim and toned physique.

With a bright face and a tall body, Lingling Kwong soon became a star at school. Many people commented that the right corner of Lingling Kwong looks very similar to star Aff Thaksaorn and the left corner of the face is similar to Apatsara Hongsakul, Thailand's first Miss Universe.

Initially, she participated in a star contest at school and was suggested by a makeup artist to sign up for another beauty contest. "I was in my first year of university and happened to be known by everyone. But because I was getting braces, I couldn't take the exam," Lingling Kwong said.

In 2016, Lingling Kwong won the 1st runner-up of the Miss Khon Kaen contest. In 2018 (when she was in her 3rd year of university), she won the crown at Miss Khao Suan Kwang, Khon Kaen province.

There is a story revealed by Lingling Kwong after being crowned as follows: one of the contests at Miss Khao Suan Kwang 2018 is to eat chicken, the requirement is that each person must eat beautifully. But because she was very hungry, Lingling devoured and forgot to show off her beauty. Surprisingly, she still achieved the title in the end.

After winning the title of Miss Khao Suan Kwang, many advertising contracts came to Lingling. Later, she decided to sign a contract as an actress for CH3. In 2020, Lingling officially debuted on the small screen as Ling in My Forever Sunshine (starring Mark Prin and Kao Supassara).

By 2022, Lingling broke through with the lead role of Theerak / Makkali in Makkali The Love Tree. Through the story in the film, the actress proves her acting ability when she transforms well into a character, swinging smoothly between cute and strong.

Talking about the first leading role in her career with Thairath, she said: "The first obstacle was the lack of experience. The film has comedy, romance, drama... Emotional diversity is a big challenge. But after closing the camera, I feel proud of myself for doing my best."

To become a professional actor, Lingling has constantly studied and honed her skills. She is not good at Thai, so she spends a lot of time practicing her dialogue, even on the set.

2024 is a busy year for Lingling when there are three works she participated in on the air. In two Dhevaprom films: Jaipisut (as Annie Anthika) and Kissed By the Rain (as Nicha), she has quality frames, showing progress in acting.

Particularly, The Secret Of Us, the first blockbuster film of CH3, starring Lingling Kwong, in collaboration with co-star Orm Kornnaphat, is "making a storm" throughout the movie loving community because of the attractive content and the beauty of the main couple.

After 4 years of artistic activity, Lingling received a total of 4 nominations. In particular, she excellently won the Rising Actress Award for Best Work of the Year at the Global Star Media Awards 2022.

In 2024, she and co-star Orm Kornnaphat were nominated in the Couple of the Year category at the Nine Entertainment Awards (before the movie The Secret Of Us premiered).
