From an ethnic Thai woman with manual work in the countryside of Thanh Hoa, Le Thi Gradually suddenly became a sought-after star of many shows.

Le Thi Dan was born in 1977, from a remote district of Thanh Hoa province. Because she loves comedians such as Tran Thanh, Viet Huong and comedy shows, the ethnic woman decided to sell some cattle and poultry in her house to have money to enter Ho Chi Minh City to compete in the 2015 Comedy Challenge.

Appearing in the contest with the image of an ethnic girl, her humorous and simple way of talking, her short plays constantly delighted the judges. Le Thi Gradually won 4 rounds consecutively, becoming the first contestant to win VND 100 million in the 2nd season and won the title of Champion of the contest.

This simple, rustic woman is also the contestant who takes up the most time in HTV gameshow history, with a total appearance of nearly 25 minutes. Also from here, she was mentioned by the audience through the names "national girl", "hundred million girl", "magical star".

Without formal training, she has the charm of performing comedy especially loved by everyone. It is the rustic things in daily life that she put into each performance that make the audience love more. From a woman with manual labor, she burst into a star with many fans.

Sharing about her life before fame, Ms. Le Thi Dan said: "My family is poor, I only studied until grade 7 and was absolutely not trained through any school related to acting and theater. In addition to my passion for comedy, my current job is in the relief society, making candy labels, raising livestock, selling cigarettes and tea and helping my husband cut his hair."

Immediately after the show, the life of the "magic star" changed 360 degrees. She quickly received the attention of many shows, was invited to act, participate in movies, the audience also knew her better. The price of Ms. Dan's cassette also skyrocketed from several million to tens of millions.

In 2016, Le Thi Gradually took on the role of an ethnic shaman in the film Figure Nhan, starring with the trio Truong Quynh Anh, Mac Van Khoa and Hoa Minzy. This shaman has unpredictable tricks and abilities that add a mysterious and humorous highlight to the film.

In 2019, Le Thi Gradually suddenly "reappeared" on the television stage of Ai Voice. In the Incarnation round, she was introduced to work as a noodle seller. With the creation of the cult horror movie character Annabelle, although she tried to "act", she was unlucky to be eliminated first. "Magic Star" always has a companion and supportive husband. She shared that her husband is always by her side wherever she goes. The couple loved each other, happier than their poor days. Le Thi Dan expressed that:

"A lot of people say I'm so famous and leave my husband, but they don't know how happy we are. Every time I went, I went with him. Now I have someone else to look at and change husbands, change husbands."

Her happy family made many admirers. Le Thi Dan's youngest daughter is still in school, while her eldest daughter has been married for several years now. The actress has become a grandmother. The comedian said the cost of the house came from money from touring, plus land sales. Her family's property is 200m2, has 3 bedrooms, a living room and a kitchen. The balcony is decorated like a café. The interior of the house is donated quite a lot by fans.

Le Thi Dan said: "In the past, my wife and I bought two pieces of land, I sold them to get money to build a house, plus my concert money, my cassette is also higher than before, each show has to be more than 10 million to receive but there are also shows I do not take money, or take the money for charity.

On the contrary, I also receive a lot of love from fans and colleagues. In this new house, objects such as televisions, karaoke sets, bonsai ,... I was given it all by everyone," she shared.
