She was crowned Miss Vietnam 2014 when she was just 18 years old. Over the past 10 years, Ky Duyen has strived to improve herself, taking on many positions as a coach and judge for many competitions such as The Look Vietnam 2017, Vietnam Supermodel 2018, The Face Vietnam (season 4), Miss Fitness Vietnam 2022...

Talking about the reason for deciding to return to the beauty pageant after 10 years, Ky Duyen once shared: "10 years ago, I was crowned Miss Vietnam 2014. I always wanted to represent Vietnam in international beauty pageants. However, there were some incidents in my youth so my destination was not achieved. At this point, I have complete confidence in fighting for my dream."

In the behavioral round for the top 5, Ky Duyen received the question: "There is a view that talent search competitions in Vietnam cause the phenomenon of exploiting brainpower when the majority of excellent individuals who have been sponsored to study abroad rarely return to serve the country. What do you think about this?".

In response to this question, Ky Duyen responded and received many "likes": "I feel happy and proud when many young Vietnamese talents live abroad... I always support programs or donors who give scholarships to Vietnamese talents to develop internationally. However, for me, the exploitation of brainpower is not too worrying if we continue to cultivate and build the country's talents."
