Miss Universe Vietnam Final: International judges disappear, those present are pale

The final night of the Miss Universe Vietnam 2024 contest has officially ended with the coronation of Nguyen Cao Ky Duyen. Besides the spotlight of the new beauty queen, the international judges who were introduced suddenly disappeared, a topic that interested fans.

On the evening of September 14, at Phu Tho Stadium - Ho Chi Minh City, the final night of the Miss Universe Vietnam 2024 contest was officially held successfully. The Top 3 beauty queens were revealed, with the victory named Nguyen Cao Ky Duyen, 1st Runner-up Nguyen Quynh Anh and 2nd Runner-up Vu Thuy Quynh. This is a result that won the hearts of all beauty fans, causing a media explosion.

Besides the attention focused on the new Miss Ky Duyen, the mysterious disappearance of the international judge, Miss Universe 2023 1st Runner-up - Anntonia Porsild from Thailand, was also a bi.g question mark that made fans confused in the final night. Although since the start of the contest, the Organizing Committee has introduced and publicized Anntonia's image everywhere, however, on the most important night of the competition, she disappeared.

Previously, Anntonia Porsild had appeared regularly in reality TV episodes, and in the semi-final night on September 11, she also participated in judging. Although she closely followed the contestants from the beginning, Anntonia Porsild was unable to give the results of choosing the Miss in the final night. It is known that the Thai beauty had an unscheduled schedule in her home country, so she returned to her country after the semi-final night. This must have been agreed upon with the Miss Universe Vietnam Organizing Committee in advance.

The organizers of the contest also compensated fans with another international judge for Anntonia Porsild's absence. Accordingly, before the final night took place, fans were extremely surprised when the contest's homepage posted a poster introducing Miss Universe 2019 - Zozibini Tunzi from South Africa as a judge. The appearance of the black beauty made beauty lovers explode with excitement as this was the first time Zozibini Tunzi was a judge in a beauty contest in Vietnam.

Although it was expected that there would be an explosive appearance in the final night, the presence of this international judge made fans think that the organizers gave a very bland performance. Accordingly, many people were disappointed when inviting an international judge but not allowing him to appear on stage, introducing him briefly, only presenting briefly and sitting in the judge's chair, not being on screen much.

Not only that, the international judges were not allowed to ask behavioral questions to the contestants, the organizers used a completely new question format in this round, making many fans dissatisfied. Therefore, the fact that Anntonia Porsild did not appear, and was replaced by another judge who was extremely bland, made the final night lose points.

Regarding the new Miss Ky Duyen, her victory was considered the biggest highlight of the final night, and the Organizing Committee was praised. In the top 3's performance, the Organizing Committee asked the performance question: "Beauty contests are essentially just entertainment. The crowned beauty cannot represent the beauty of women in a country. Do you agree or disagree with this point of view?"

Nguyen Cao Ky Duyen replied: "A gir.l's beauty cannot represent women of a country, but her story can inspire people.

10 years ago, I was crowned Miss Vietnam, 10 years later, I bravely realized my ideal, wishing to shout out the two words Vietnam in the international arena. With this ideal, I believe I can encourage young people to live their ideals to the fullest."

Before the final night began, a large audience shouted Ky Duyen’s name, creating a strong wave of support for Miss Vietnam 2014 Ky Duyen. Every time she appeared, the audience cheered her on.

Nguyen Cao Ky Duyen donated 500 million VND to support people affected by floods after storm No. 3. The remaining amount is for her to compete internationally. She said if there is any left over, she will continue to support the poor.
