Huong Tram first talked about the reason for going to the US for 5 years, determined to do 1 thing when returning home

Over the past 5 years, the public has always been curious about the reason why Huong Tram gave up her soaring career to move to the US. Until recently, the female singer spoke out for the first time.

Participating in the Hoa Xuan Ca program, Huong Tram shared her thoughts about her 5 years living in the US and her plans after returning to Vietnam. The singer of Em Gai Mua said that in her 5 years abroad, she only returned to Vietnam once to celebrate Tet, the rest were Tets away from home.

"Tet away from home is very sad for me, lacking the familiar atmosphere that I desire. Where I live is very ho.t, there is no feeling of cold, no spring rain, peach blossoms, kumquat trees or Tet shopping with my family," the female singer confided. Regarding the sudden move to the US, Huong Tram said it was a necessary decision in her career:

"I stopped for a bit in my musical journey because sometimes, people need to rest. Although I shared many different reasons, in fact, I just wanted to rest. During those 5 years, the journey of discovering myself was the most important thing I achieved. I learned to understand myself, know where to stop, where true peace is."

Huong Tram also shared that, as an artist, she needs to heal herself before she can bring healing music to the audience. "The audience comes to me for healing, if I can't heal myself, how can I heal the audience?", the 9x singer said.

Notably, although famous for modern music, she still wants to try her hand at folk music, partly influenced by her father, People's Artist Tien Dung - who specializes in composing folk songs.

"For someone who is far from home like me, what makes me miss my homeland more are the songs about my homeland and country, not modern music. However, when it comes to folk music, I am definitely an amateur because even though my father is an artist specializing in this genre, it is not my forte. Anyway, I try to sing it," Huong Tram admitted.

After returning to Vietnam, Huong Tram also revealed a new aspect of her art: composing music: "I have found another part of myself - writing music. This is a humble journey, but I hope to be able to connect with the audience on a deeper level."

In May 2024, Huong Tram went to the Thu Duc City Police Department to report that many websites, Facebook accounts, and YouTube accounts had posted fabricated information about her. Since the beginning of the year, the image of the singer holding two babies was combined with another person and spread on social networks, leading to rumors that she had given birth.

In the petition along with documents and evidence (23 news sites, Facebook accounts, YouTube, TikTok), the singer said that this insulted her honor and dignity, directly affecting the lives of her and her relatives. Huong Tram said that she had to suffer material losses because many customers canceled their cooperation in using her services, images, and brand representation.

According to Huong Tram's manager, the singer and her lawyer at that time wanted to "get to the bottom of the matter". The parents of the two children in the photo with her also agreed to ask the authorities to intervene because it would affect their children.

Huong Tram was born in 1995, from Nghe An. She was born into a family with a tradition of art, her father is People's Artist Tien Dung, her brother is singer Pham Tien Manh. Participating in the first season of The Voice - The Voice of Vietnam, she excelled over many contestants to win the championship.

After the show, Huong Tram achieved many successes with a series of hits such as: "Ngải ngon", "Em gai mua", "Duyen minh lo", "Cho em gan anh them chut nua"... In May 2019, the female singer went to the US to study, taking the stage name Charmy Pham. In May 2024, she officially returned to Vietnam to live and work as well as release new music products.
