"Mr. Hai was a gym trainer so he was very healthy. From the time he was diagnosed with the disease until he passed away very quickly," Ms. Ngoan said.

She added that the actor breathed his last at 4:06 p.m. She did not understand why a few hours before, information about his death appeared on the Internet. Relatives and acquaintances kept asking questions, making her very confused.

Three weeks before his death, Hong Hai suffered from severe abdominal pain, along with jaundice, so he went to the University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City, People's Hospital 115, and Nguyen Tri Phuong Hospital for examination. The diagnosis included end-stage cirrhosis and duodenitis, which shocked the actor. Before that, he had suffered from abdominal pain many times but subjectively thought it was a normal pain, so he just went to the store to buy medicine and took it casually.

As a fitness trainer, Hong Hai is conscious of taking care of his health. However, according to his wife, he smokes a lot, drinks occasionally, and after each weight loss competition, his health is more or less affected. When the actor was hospitalized, Ms. Ngoan, his biological mother and his wife's relatives were all there to take care of him.

In his last days, Hong Hai often looked forward to his wife. He often held Ngoan's hand and said, "Are you tired?
