Hong Hai's full name is Nguyen Hong Hai, born in 1993, and is widely known to audiences through his role as Hai 33 in the comedy film "Vi Ca Tien Truyen: Ca Con Crossing the Big Sea". With his handsome appearance and natural acting style, he quickly won the hearts of audiences.

Yet in June 2024, a deadly liver disease took away a promising young talent of Vietnamese showbiz. At the end of his life, Hong Hai went through difficult days when facing the disease. Despite the wholehearted care of doctors and relatives, the deadly disease still did not let him go. The actor's sudden passing left endless grief for his family, friends and fans.

Hearing the sad news about Hong Hai, actor Quach Ngoc Tuyen could not hide his sadness. He shared: "Goodbye 33 in my prequel Vi Ca, I was really surprised to hear your news, everything happened so fast. Rest in peace."

Ms. Be Ngoan - Hong Hai's wife - confirmed to VietNamNet reporter that her husband passed away at 4:06 p.m. on June 13 due to illness, at the ag.e of 31. "Mr. Hai was a gym trainer so he was very healthy. From the time he was diagnosed with the disease until he passed away very quickly," Ms. Ngoan said.

She added that the actor breathed his last at 4:06 p.m. She did not understand why a few hours before, information about his deat.h appeared on the Internet. Relatives and acquaintances kept asking questions, making her very confused.

Three weeks before his deat.h, Hong Hai suffered from severe abdominal pain, along with jaundice, so he went to the University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City, People's Hospital 115, and Nguyen Tri Phuong Hospital for examination. The diagnosis included end-stage cirrhosis and duodenitis, which shocked the actor. Before that, he had suffered from abdominal pain many times but subjectively thought it was a normal pain, so he just went to the store to buy medicine and took it casually.

As a fitness trainer, Hong Hai is conscious of taking care of his health. However, according to his wife, he smokes a lot, drinks occasionally, and after each weight loss competition, his health is more or less affected. When the actor was hospitalized, Ms. Ngoan, his biological mother and his wife's relatives were all there to take care of him.

In his last days, Hong Hai often looked forward to his wife. He often held Ngoan's hand and said, "Are you tired? I'm in so much pain" or was afraid that if he died early, there would be no one to take care of his wife and children. During the last 3 days, the actor gradually lost consciousness and did not make any last wishes or testament.

Ms. Ngoan had prepared herself mentally since her husband was hospitalized, but she still couldn't avoid feeling pain and confusion. However, she didn't dare cry too much, afraid that it would affect the 4-month fetus - the crystallization of the couple's second love.
