For Hong An, both jobs are a burning passion. Although her love for her career as an artist is somewhat overwhelming, she still cherishes every moment she gets to transform herself in front of the camera. A few words about Queen Nam Phuong, she was born on November 14, 1913, and died on September 15, 1963. Her maiden name was Jeanne Mariette Nguyen Huu Thi Lan, her hometown was in the Go Cong - Trao Trao area, Bien Hoa (now Long Thanh My ward, Thu Duc, Ho Chi Minh City) but many documents mistakenly said it was the Go Cong area in Tien Giang province today.
She was the Empress of Emperor Bao Dai of the Nguyen Dynasty, and the last Empress of the monarchy in Vietnamese history. Being crowned Empress after the wedding made Nam Phuong one of two Empresses of the Nguyen Dynasty to hold the title of Empress while still alive (the other was Empress Thua Thien Cao - the first wife of Emperor Gia Long). She was also the only Empress to follow Catholicism in Vietnamese history and had the merit of initiating the establishment and opening of schools of the Congregation of Notre-Dame in Vietnam in 1935.
In fact, when Bao Dai abdicated as Emperor in 1945 to become a citizen of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, of course, Queen Nam Phuong also lost her title of Empress. However, those who admired and respected her still called her "Queen Nam Phuong".
