After nearly a month after giving up the Miss America crown, because she was too upset by the attitude of the organizers, beauty Noelia Voigt revealed new details behind the rowdy incident, attracting the attention of beauty fans.
In her latest post, Noelia Voigt said she was bound by an agreement not to be allowed to disclose information.
The beauty asserted that the recent statements of Ms. Laylah Roses (Director of Miss USA) are completely contrary to her experience and inaccurate.
"I really urge Laylah Roses to cancel our no-disclosure agreement so that he can speak out about the truth," Noelia Voigt wrote.
Earlier, in her letter relinquishing the crown on May 6, Noelia Voigt said she made the decision because of mental health issues without specifying the cause. At the time, many wondered about the real reason why Noelia Voigt had to give up the title while still in office.
"I hope to continue inspiring people to stay consistent, prioritize your mental health, support yourself and others by raising your voice and never be afraid of the future, even if it's ambiguous," she said.
Celebrity beauty expert Julio Rodriguez Matute also published an article pointing out an anomaly in Noelia Voigt's letter. When she put together the first letters of her letter, it would form the words "I am silenced."
After Noelia Voigt relinquished the title, the 1st runner-up in Miss USA 2023, Vietnamese-born beauty Savannah Gankiewicz, was promoted instead. However, she did not receive support from the audience. Savannah Gankiewicz says she gets attacked every day.
The fact that Noelia Voigt relinquished the crown caused the Miss USA organizers and Laylah Roses to be fiercely criticized. Many people thought this was an unusual sign and asked the organizers to speak up. However, so far, Laylah Roses has not made any official statement about the incident.
Earlier, in addition to Noelia Voigt, Miss Teen USA UmaSofia Srivastava also decided to give up the title because her personal values "no longer align with the direction of the organizers".
In response, Miss USA organizers said they respect and support Voigt's decision, and affirmed that the health of the winners is their top priority. Miss Teen USA made a similar statement in Srivastava's case.
The queens' return to the crown comes just days after Claudia Michelle, Miss USA's communications director, announced her resignation on May 3.
In an Instagram post, Michelle revealed that she had to work without pay for 2 months, was not properly staffed and claimed that the organizers had behaved disrespectfully towards the winners.
Michelle said she has seen Miss USA 2023 Voigt's mental health decline, while Miss Teen USA 2023 Srivastava has endured things that are disrespectful to herself and her family.
Despite claiming these claims were baseless, Miss USA president and Miss USA 2008 president Crystle Stewart announced her resignation.
Her husband Max Sebrechts, who served as vice-president of the competition, has also left amid a wave of harassment allegations by previous contestants.
In recent years, beauty pageants in the United States have seen many controversies and scandals, with allegations of favoring some contestants.
One of these is the passing of Miss USA 2019 Cheslie Kryst in 2022.
In her memoir, she referenced her insecurities after winning the title and revealed she was a victim of online abuse. This shows the challenges and pressures that contestants face during and after the competition.
