Hanbin and TEMPEST have just debuted not long ago, their road ahead is full of challenges and lessons when operating in the harsh entertainment market.
After working under Yuehua Entertainment as a trainee, on March 2, Hanbin officially debuted with the group TEMPEST with the music product Bad News . This is a song produced by G-high, Inner Child (MoonTree), Jozu (PRISMFILTER) and co-written lyrics by Lew, Hwarang.
The song expresses TEMPEST's desire to conquer the Kpop market with the content of conflicting information flows that upset the entertainment industry. The MV has only been on the air for less than 10 days, but it has now reached more than 15 million views and is at the top of the YouTube trending tab.
However, only 2 days after debuting, the social network was buzzing with a "disguised" post originating from an anti-Hanbin group with more than 1.5 thousand likes and followers. Specifically, at the Music Bank show, many people took pictures of evidence that Hanbin had a disrespectful attitude towards his senior when he did not bow to Jang Wonyoung (IVE).
This action made the online community think that the Vietnamese male idol did not respect his seniors. With an environment that promotes senior-junior culture like Korea, Hanbin's supposedly disrespectful act has received a lot of criticism from the neutral audience.
Just a few days later, the online community continued to stir about the clip accusing Hanbin of ignoring Vietnamese fans. Accordingly, the social network passed a clip of Hanbin walking straight, even though a fan called him in Vietnamese before. Contrary to the guy's actions, the other members happily bowed full of friendliness. This is what makes Hanbin continue to be entangled in controversies about public behavior.
But after these noises broke out, Hanbin's fans all had a clear explanation to protect the idol. Regarding the controversy that Hanbin was disrespectful to seniors, fans pointed to evidence that the male idol bowed to Wonyoung (IVE). Or like a series of moments were also shared to prove that Hanbin is very friendly, especially with Vietnamese fans, and there is no such thing as "beautiful butter" for fans as rumored.
Recalling the time when participating in the survival show I-LAND , Hanbin's stop made fans in Vietnam and internationally regret. During the comeback stage, the global fan community, including Vietnam, gave Hanbin winged compliments.
Most of them affirmed that Hanbin's aura was outstanding and was not mixed in the remaining 21 trainees. Some people even admitted to crying and being disappointed that Hanbin couldn't debut at I-LAND yet.
After the end of I-LAND about half a year, the name Hanbin is still extremely hot and receives great attention from fans. The proof is that the guy's Twitter account has just been established not long ago, but has surpassed many famous Vietnamese artists such as Son Tung M-TP, Vu Cat Tuong, Minh Hang...
Although this is not a very popular social network in Vietnam, it is also a number that proves the charm of Hanbin when he has not become an idol like a phenomenon. On the other hand, the keyword Hanbin has also repeatedly climbed to #1 hot search on Twitter as a guarantee of the fan community's interest level.

Hanbin's name is also in the top 1 of search trends on Twitter many times
Because Hanbin is a Vietnamese Kpop idol, Vietnamese netizens are strict and... critical?
Hanbin is not the first Vietnamese to debut in Korea, but he is currently the Vietnamese male Kpop idol with the most "huge" fan base ever. It can be said that Hanbin is also a lucky male idol when he owns a large fan base and is very "spendable" to help the idol's name be known to many people.
However, it seems that this "prominence" of Hanbin makes many people unhappy. There is even an act of scrutiny and criticism despite the fact that it only happens in a sense and one-way. And unfortunately, this comes from Vietnamese netizens themselves - the community that seems to be the first to give absolute support to Hanbin.
The noise happens, can be right or wrong depending on the perception of each person. However, one thing must be acknowledged that, Hanbin has only been "toddling" to become a celebrity for a few days. Perhaps, the awkward behavior when suddenly becoming a Kpop idol makes Hanbin more or less cause unnecessary misunderstandings. Instead of just looking at the bad sides of an artist to "drain" and forget all the efforts, is a part of the audience spending too much strictness on their own "family".
Right or wrong, for sure, Hanbin is making great efforts to bring the image of Vietnam to the Korean entertainment environment and international friends. If receiving the support of the home audience, this is definitely the best spiritual medicine to help Hanbin bring pride to Vietnam.
