Musician Giang Son's real name is Ta Thi Giang Son. She was born on February 1, 1975 and grew up in Hai Hung. You can call her by her stage name, Christmas Son or Christmas Sol.

The female musician is the youngest daughter of cheo artist Bich Ngoc and the people's teacher, musician Hoang Kieu. Since the age of 5 she has been taking piano training classes. At the age of 10, the female musician had her first composition in her life.

Despite owning many works and awards such as: Best Young Author of the 1st Student Band Festival (1998), composing more than 70 songs, releasing a collection of 30 love songs "Cay and rain" (2005), released the CD "Em with the Year of the Line", but it was not until the success of "Noon Dream" that Christmas Son became known more as a musician. While studying at the Hanoi Conservatory of Music, Giang Son and his best friend formed the band Exotica in 1998, consisting of 5 members. The band often performs at bars and cafes in Hanoi. However, the group quickly disbanded because of internal conflicts.

In 1999, Giang Son and his friends formed the group Du Ca. The group performed the main compositions of Giang Son - the leader of the group. In 2000, the group changed its name from Du Ca to 5 Lines Ke.

5 lines is a famous music group when it breathes life into traditional folk music combined with modern. Most of the compositions in the group of 5 lines have great contributions from Giang Son and Bao Lan.

At the end of 2003, the group officially released their first album Em . Most of the songs on the album are composed by musician Giang Son. In which the song Grass and Rain was positively evaluated by experts.

After the successful release of the album Em on the media. Group 5 Lines began to cover a series of programs and major stages.

During the operation, 5 Lines was awarded the title of "Best Music Group" from the Vietnam Musicians Association. Even Tien Phong newspaper said that 5 Lines was the most famous group at that time.

In 2005, because he was busy teaching at Hanoi University of Theater and Cinema, Giang Son could not regularly attend and perform with the group in Saigon. In order not to affect the group's activities, the female musician decided to leave the leader position.

However, when she initially joined the group of 5 lines, she encountered mixed opinions from her family when her family just wanted her daughter to settle down and become a teacher. Although she wanted her daughter to become a teacher, her parents did not object to her joining the 5-line group.

That's why when she left the band to return to the career of growing people, her parents did not ask why and were always there to encourage her. They are all professionals and ready to support their daughter, but perhaps Giang Son's parents did not think that she could pursue the group for so long.

After leaving the group, she focused on composing and teaching. During this period, the female musician composed many songs with good melody.

Rain is the first song marking the beginning of the songwriting career of Giang Son and Midday Dream is the first song created after she separated from the group of 5 lines. In her career, Christmas Son has completed CDs, including her songs. Including a bunch of five new songs composed by Nguyen Vinh Tien, which she loves very much, composed in the style of jazz, blue, and sing such as: Drifting in the mirror, Midday dream, Dark jazz, Sticky day, A little yellow sunshine bay,... Besides, there are other new songs such as Night Street and Thit song.

In 2007, Giang Son released his first album named after himself. Album Christmas Son is a turning point marking her role as a musician. The album was nominated in the "Album of the Year" category at the 3rd Dedication Music Awards.

At the end of 2015, Christmas Son continued to release the second studio album Dark Jazz . The female musician revealed that she spent 8 years perfecting this album. At the 11th Devotion Music Awards Shadow Jazz won in the "Album of the Year" category.

Giang Son and her current husband met at the Ballad Saloon, the Trung Tu area where Nick rents a house and is a regular customer of the restaurant.
