On April 3, the famous panda Fubao officially left Everland (Gyeonggi Province, South Korea) and set off to return to China. By the time Fubao got in the car to leave the park, there were already crowds of people lining up in the rain to see off this famous panda on his way back to his hometown. Meanwhile, in China, Fubao's image was spread everywhere to welcome back the "overseas Korean princess".

After landing and being taken to his new residence, the first images of Fubao in China were posted, through which images at Chengdu Airport showed that as soon as he landed, Fubao was "refueled" with his favorite dishes, reassuring many fans about Fubao's condition after the long flight.

After being transferred to Chinese Panda Research and Conservation in Sichuan and entering quarantine, Fubao is now in good condition. Here, Mr. Kang, who is often referred to as Fubao's "grandfather", was also present and regularly recorded pictures of his beloved "granddaughter" to update fans in Korea and help people feel more secure with the process of getting used to Fubao's new environment.

Before Fubao returned, the China Giant Panda Research and Conservation Center made thorough preparations with necessary measures to welcome the bear. This preparation included building a safety fence, organizing professional teams, and setting up a special care team for Fubao with the participation of two experienced bear keepers.

To help Fubao reintegrate into his Shanxi habitat, during the one-month quarantine period, two Chinese bear keepers will support him along with Kang Cheol-won, who raised Fubao in Korea. They will also help pandas overcome language barriers by learning Chinese, especially the Shanxi accent.

Fubao was born on July 20, 2020, the son of two pandas Lebao and Aibao, sent to South Korea in 2016, symbolizing the diplomatic friendship between South Korea and China.

During his time in Korea, this panda has received boundless love from both its caregivers and the people here. They call Fubao by adorable nicknames such as "Yongin's Fu Girl", "Fubao Princess" ...

Everland said it plans to continue sharing Fubao's life in China after reaching an agreement with Chinese state broadcaster CCTV in 2023.

Fubao has received the love and care of many people since birth. Especially, the 2 employees who directly take care of Fubao, Mr. Kang Cheol-won and Song Young-kwan - popularly known as Mr. Kang, Mr. Song has a lot of love for this panda. The two men are also considered by many to be members of the famous panda family.
