When he first started his career in Saigon, Phong faced many difficulties in his economy and orientation. Being away from his family and living on his own, Phong often faced rude invitations and solicitations, but Phong was alert enough to avoid traps.

For me, making a lot of money and being famous, these two things are both important, each one is liked but that is not the only goal for me to think about, but I think now I just try my best, sing well, make a lot of good music to gradually assert myself and be liked by many audiences and then count."
