According to Mr. Dung, this lawsuit is a "legal corridor" in nature, which both Vietnamese and overseas showbiz are very interested in because it is unprecedented. Dung Taylor also revealed that, based on the lawsuit, Dam Vinh Hung requested Mr. Gerard Richard Williams III to compensate him 50 million USD (about more than 1000 billion VND). However, up to now, Dam Vinh Hung has not officially shared this information.

According to the 8-page lawsuit, Dam Vinh Hung said that on February 19, he attended a party at Gerard's mansion and was hit by debris from a water fountain. The male singer claimed that singer Bich Tuyen's husband used an outdoor concrete fountain as a stage and a table for drinks. The fountain fell, crushing Dam Vinh Hung's foot, piercin.g through the male singer's leather shoe, causing several of his toes to be severed.
