"In Vietnam, I used to have a beauty salon, so I came here to also aim for work in cosmetics, skin care, nails and eyelashes. But in my profile, it says 'only English' so no place accepts it. Hundreds of CVs sent only to be rejected, I was about to give up hope, a nail salon in Zurich agreed to let me try an apprentice position I worked there for three months with a salary just enough to buy a ticket train from home to shop.

Another shop pays a higher salary but from a Vietnamese owner. I told the boss in advance that I did not intend to work for a long time, but only learned and accumulated experience. In the future, I will return to Basel to open a nail salon, not do business in Zurich to compete with them. Thanks to my skill and hard work, I was appreciated by the owner. She taught me a lot.

After two years of working, I opened my first shop. The next two years, I opened a branch and recently a milk tea shop."

Once a famous person in Vietnam, but going to "a foreign land" to accept a nail salon job, Chung Thuc Quyen faced a lot of talk about:
