Miss Global 2025 final: Nhu Van was crowned in a drought, fans made a big deal

Although it does not show the whole picture, these dashed lines make many people notice similarities with the illegal "ox-tongue line", saying that the organizers do not respect the territorial sovereignty of relevant countries, including Vietnam. Immediately, Vietnamese audiences watching the contest via live broadcast expressed their fierce opposition, demanding a boycott of Miss Global for using the "ox-tongue line" map.

Not stopping at angry and angry comments, many Vietnamese viewers also flooded the contest's Facebook page, dropping "outrage" on a series of posts to express their opposition.

In the face of a wave of outrage, at about 21 pm on March 9, the Miss Global organizers immediately spoke out about the incident through the contest fanpage. "Dear audience, Vietnamese friends. We sincerely apologize for any offensive behavior due to the graphic material we shared recently. We have never intended to distort or disregard Vietnam's sovereignty or the sensitivities around territorial issues," said Miss Global.

The contest organizers emphasized that they deeply respect the country and people of Vietnam. Through the incident, they understood the importance of carefully selecting documents and images before using them, especially those of historical and national significance. "We really appreciate your understanding and constructive feedback. Your support and trust mean a lot to us and we are committed to learning from this experience to do better in the future," the organization affirmed.

Regarding the results of the contest, Nhu Van, the representative of Vietnam in the moment of coronation, she burst with happiness. This result is considered extremely reasonable, when during the contest, Nhu Van was considered one of the most serious competitors. However, some other negative people, aimed at the noise of the organizers' strange map, then maliciously assigned the name "miss cow's tongue" to Nhu Van, even though she was completely innocent.

Reigning Miss Ashley Melendez, from Puerto Rico, handed her the crown to cheers from the audience. "I am really happy to be the first Vietnamese beauty to be crowned at the contest. I am very grateful for the attention and support of the audience, especially in my hometown," said the new Miss. Regarding the remaining titles in the top 3, the 1st runner-up and 2nd runner-up positions were given to contestants from Jamaica and Puerto Rico, respectively.

Nguyen Dinh Nhu Van was born in 1991, from Lam Dong. The beauty is 1.74 m tall, measuring 90-63-91 cm. Nhu Van has been active as a professional model for many years, having won the runner-up of The New Mentor - All-Around Model 2023. She also takes on the role of coach of the reality show The Next Gentleman - Perfect Gentleman 2024, directing the catwalk of Miss Vietnam, Miss World Vietnam.
