Chinh Chu: Vietnamese-born billionaire married Cam Ly's sister, making Donald Trump "hot"

The American press has called Zheng Zhou the "formidable man" or "old wolf" of Wall Street. Vietnamese businessmen living in the US consider him one of the outstanding successful people in the community.

Chinh Chu was born in 1966, in Vietnam, in a family of 6 brothers. In 1975, his whole family came to the United States with a capital of only a few hundred dollars. Life is extremely difficult, making the whole family determined to make efforts to succeed.

In a foreign country, while going to school, Chinh Chu went to sell retail books and deliver goods to his home. He holds a bachelor's degree in Finance from the University of Buffalo, a public school in New York (USA). Because he graduated from an unreputable university, Chinh Zhou's 15 job applications were all rejected. But the failure made him even more interested in this field and it was perseverance that built the name of a Zheng Zhou on Wall Street.

"I filed 15 filings with Wall Street companies and received 15 rejections." But this did not make him give up, but made Zhou more interested in this field because of the difficulties of participating. He concluded: "In life, you need perseverance to pursue your goals."

After 15 unsuccessful job applications, he was hired in the mergers and acquisitions department of Salomon Brothers in 1988. In 1990, the opportunity brought Zheng Zhou to the financial field when he "joined" the Blackstone financial group. With the advice of Chinh Chu, Blackstone Financial Investment Group has completed many profitable investments for billions of USD such as joint venture to buy Nycomed and Catalent Pharma Solutions (3.3 billion USD), DJ Orthopedics (1.6 billion USD)...

In 2004, Blackstone made the largest acquisition in European history when it took control of Germany's Celanese Chemical Group for $3.8 billion after just a few phone calls. According to the assessment, the bargain contract was made thanks to the negotiation efforts and understanding of the Vietnamese-born billionaire.

Since 2007, he has been the owner of 1 of the 10 most luxurious hotel chains in the world - Hilton - with dream resorts: Beverly Hilton, Hilton Athens, Hilton San Francisco, Hilton New York...

At the end of 2007, Chinh Chu was noticed by many newspapers and was known as "an anonymous trader" when he spent $34.3 million to buy the entire 89th floor, half of the 90th floor at Trump World Tower, making billionaire Donald Trump "hot". However, after unsuccessful attempts to buy the remaining half floor, Chinh Chu spent an additional $5 million to increase the space on the roof of the building, bringing the total cost to 39.3 million.

Trump World Tower is the world's tallest residential building located in a prime location in the heart of New York City. With a view across from the United Nations headquarters, the penthouse of the Chinh Chu family is nearly 1,400 m2, containing a total of 34 rooms, including 12 bedrooms and 16 bathrooms.

Although notorious in the market, Chinh Chu is very loyal to Ha Phuong. The two have lived together for the past 22 years and are still happy until now. Chu himself met his wife for the first time when his Vietnamese was still very bad, so he didn't fully understand what Ha Phuong was singing. The female singer revealed that after 3 months of acquaintance, Chinh Chu expressed her love. Two years later (2002) the two became friends.

Referring to the first meeting, singer Ha Phuong said: "I came to the US for a few months and got to know him through Mr. Tran Bao Son (ex-husband of actor Truong Ngoc Anh). At that time, Mr. Son and I were friends, when I had a night, I told Mr. Son to take you to see it.

Mr. Son brought his friend to introduce him to Minh Tuyet (Ha Phuong's sister), who didn't expect that my wife and I would get to know each other on that same night. Currently, Ha Phuong and her husband are living in a large villa with many luxury supercars.
