MXH is currently excited to share about the sugarcane juice truck of a group of young Vietnamese people in Korea. The idyllic Vietnamese dish is now very much loved by Koreans. Initially, the sugarcane juice cart was opened by a Vietnamese girl with the purpose of "selling for fun".
Seeing the long queues of customers just waiting to buy sugarcane juice made everyone whisper that Vietnamese drinks have reached the world level. However, few people know that the owner of this sugarcane juice cart is actually a big lady who has settled in Korea for a long time.
The owner of this famous sugarcane juice cart is Huynh Chon Phuong (born in 1991, from Ca Mau), currently living and working in Choengju city, Chungcheongbuk-do province, South Korea. In addition to the "cane juice shop" that caused a storm on social networks, Phuong also has a pho shop and a restaurant. Not only that, her family also owns a mask making place in Korea.
Before that, Phuong also used to sell sugarcane juice at her pho restaurant, but not many people knew about it. Therefore, during the recent cherry blossom festival in Korea, the woman came up with the idea to bring 2 sugarcane juice machines to the festival area to try and sell them.
She herself could not believe that her moment of momentary excitement would be so enthusiastically responded to by Korean customers. From 1,2 people who drank well, they brought their friends to drink, so the number of guests increased so she could not manage in time.
So from only 2 sales staff, Ms. Phuong had to mobilize 5 more of her friends to sell with her while she stood to collect money. On the first day of the sale, Phuong sold more than 700 glasses of sugarcane juice. In the next 2 days, her water counter was always crowded with customers coming in and out. On the peak day, the woman sold 1200 glasses of sugarcane juice, squeezing all 1.5 tons of sugarcane.
With such a glass of sugarcane juice, Phuong sells it for 5,000 won (about 90,000 VND). Although it has mobilized more human resources, 7 people shave sugarcane, 3 people specialize in sugarcane juicers, but it is still not enough to serve customers. Many groups of customers have up to 15-20 people waiting in line to buy a turn. They even asked where Phuong's shop was so that after the festival ended, they would come back to drink again.
Previously, Phuong used to import green sugarcane to sell, but now she has switched to Hoa Binh purple sugarcane. Because Koreans love sweets, purple sugarcane will be sweeter. Sugarcane juice after squeezing is preserved, just add a little lemon and kumquat for aroma.
Just managing the pho shop, the restaurant now has more sugarcane juice pants, making Phuong always busy. Every day she starts work at 9am but it takes until 3 or 4 the next morning to finish. Because the sugarcane juice stand currently only registers to sell exclusively during the festival, Phuong took a break after 3 days. In the near future, she will sell 10 more consecutive days to serve festival visitors.
Since her sugarcane juice stall caused a storm on social networks, many young Vietnamese people texted and called to ask her for tips on starting a business. The woman also enthusiastically instructs you how to sell goods, buy sugarcane juice machines, and import ingredients.
Before that, there were many Vietnamese people who succeeded in bringing their hometown cuisine to foreign countries. Among them, Mai, a Vietnamese bride married to a Korean man, appeared on a program of A Channel. Mai has successfully started a business with Vietnamese noodle soup in Korea.
At first, the woman only had a small vending cart with a simple sign: "Vietnamese pho cooked by Vietnamese people". The pho cooked by Ms. Mai was loved by many people because of its pure taste and especially the price was much softer than most other pho brands in Korea at that time. Realizing the potential of this business, Mai and her husband decided to rent the space and open a restaurant at Noryangjin market.
Good news spread far away, Mai's restaurant was enjoyed by many people and reviewed with many good comments. Once, she and her husband sold 800 bowls of pho, then the monthly revenue was up to 90 million won (about 1.8 billion VND).
Until now, Ms. Mai has also expanded her business by selling many other Vietnamese specialties such as noodle rolls, pancakes, fried rice... The restaurant's reputation has not only been limited to Seoul. which is famous in many places in Korea, even to the distant coastal city of Busan.
