Tung Duong real name Nguyen Tung Duong, (born September 18, 1983 in Bac Ninh) is a Vietnamese singer. He is known from the 2004 Sao Mai rendezvous contest, in which he won with the award voted by the Arts Council.

Tung Duong is originally from Quang Tri, but his hometown is Bac Ninh. He is the only child in the family, his father is a businessman, his mother used to open a makeup shop and take pictures - so he later became a costume designer for Tung Duong. Although his parents were not in the singing profession, from a young age Tung Duong was exposed to music, especially influenced by his young grandfather, the late musician Tran Hoan. In addition, poet Pham Ho and musician Pham The My are the younger brothers of his paternal grandmother Nam Tung Duong in third grade, his parents went to Russia to do business, leaving Tung Duong to his two uncles to raise. In Russia, his parents often find and send new music to their son. He was exposed to jazz music from a very young age, which helped shape his style later.

In 1995, Tung Duong won his first award, the Silver Medal for Good Voice in National Broadcasting in 1995. Soon after, at the age of 12, he was sent to Russia as a member (the youngest) of the Vietnamese Dance and Music Troupe to perform in Moscow.

In 1999, he passed the entrance exam to the Hanoi Conservatory of Music (now the Vietnam National Academy of Music)[6], under the guidance of People's Artist Quang Tho. Tung Duong continued to win high awards, such as the third prize of the Hanoi Young Voice Contest in 1999, the third prize of the Hanoi Good Voice Contest in 2001 and the first prize in 2003.
