Singer Khanh Phuong responds to asset trading stoppage: 'I know what I do'

On the afternoon of October 3, the Department of Justice of Lam Dong province requested to suspend the transaction of assets of singer Khanh Phuong and 11 individuals in the fraud case of misappropriating assets of Nhat Nam company with the wife of singer Yin Wind Scarf as Chairman of the Board of Directors General Director.

Specifically, 12 individuals include: Pham Khanh Phuong (singer Khanh Phuong, 42 years old, permanent resident of Ho Chi Minh City), Vu Duy Nga (61 years old, Thanh Hoa), Luu Thi Luat (64 years old, Thanh Hoa), Vu Van Hung (35 years old, Hanoi city), Vu Van Hoang (32 years old, Thanh Hoa), Ngo Thi Quyen (47 years old, Hanoi city), Le Van Hao (36 years old, Thanh Hoa), Nguyen Quang Dai (44 years old, Hanoi city), Nguyen Van Minh (49 years old, Hanoi city), Nguyen Anh Tuan (51 years old, Hung Yen), Tran Thien Tam (33 years old, Lam Dong) and Nguyen Thi Lam Nhi (30 years old, HCMC).

In addition to requesting to suspend asset transactions in the coming time, the authorities also require notary public practice organizations in Lam Dong province to review and provide information, documents, suspend transactions of assets in the name of owners and transferred assets arising from July 2, 2019 to now for 12 individuals and 1 above-mentioned enterprises.

Prior to the information that asset transactions are prohibited, recently, singer Khanh Phuong has shared around the case with reporters of Thanh Nien newspaper. The singer said: "I have nothing to do with the work of that company. Of course, during the investigation, the authorities can make several decisions to prevent risks arising from the person involved. And this is just in Lam Dong province, other provinces are normal. For example, if I have a property in Lam Dong, I can't transact, but outside that area is okay."

Not only that, Khanh Phuong added that there were a few rumors circulating online claiming that he had his assets frozen everywhere, which is not accurate.

"Missing the word Lin Dong can be misleading and affect me badly. People who know me always trust, I know what I've done, always hope people have faith in me. At the moment I ask a lawyer to accompany me. The party who deliberately reported the story misunderstood me will file a complaint for affecting honor... The person involved is not necessarily guilty, do not judge things too early. When things are not clearly investigated, people cautiously judge others," Khanh Phuong expressed.

In addition, Khanh Phuong's side has also moved to ask the law to intervene if false information affects his honor and image: For example, many websites remove the word Lam Dong, reporting that I have my assets frozen. It turned out like I was getting into a cycle of justice. I will ask my lawyer to sue individuals and organizations who give false information about me to avoid affecting my personal honor.

He affirmed that what he said when Vu Thi Thuy (the singer's wife) was detained is still true, that "if in this case, any individual finds me wrong, just report it, surely the authorities and the law will investigate and clarify and take action against me".

Currently, the singer is still running the normal singing show. "In terms of influence, I think there will be more or less, but the programs I have received I have to complete, I can't let individual things affect other groups," he added.
