Up to now, 9 years have passed, since August 8, 2016, four girls named BLACKPINK stepped onto the Kpop stage, lighting up the whole musical sky with their unmistakable style. They're not just a band â they're icons.
To celebrate the event, YG Entertainment has revealed a series of behind-the-scenes photos from the members' "JUMP" MV studio, recreating the vibrant atmosphere of the girl group's long-awaited comeback.
Meanwhile, all 4 Blackpink members also celebrated their debut day on SNS with sweet group photos. The girl group is expected to perform at Wembley Stadium in London from August 15 to 16, becoming the first K-Pop female artist to do this, which is considered a new bright spot in BLACKPINK's every step. Blackpink is a popular Korean girl group under YG Entertainment, debuted on August 8, 2016 with four members: Jisoo, Jennie , Rosé and Lisa . From the first products such as Boombayah and Whistle, the group quickly became a global phenomenon thanks to their individual musical styles, trendy images, and outstanding talents of each member.
In 2018, "DDU-DU DDU-DU" was born â becoming the first MV of a K-pop girl group to reach more than 2 billion views on YouTube. The image of BLACKPINK in a personality black suit, proud eyes, and top-notch charisma has been deeply imprinted in the minds of fans all over the world. It's not just a song, it's a manifesto of female confidence and power.
Not stopping at Korea, BLACKPINK made a spectacular breakthrough in the international market. They performed at Coachella â the largest music festival in the United States, becoming the first K-pop girl group to do so. They signed with Interscope Records, appearing on hit TV shows such as The Late Late Show, Jimmy Kimmel Live, Good Morning America,... and gradually brought K-pop closer to the world.

Jennie exploded with a new single called 'Ruby', released under her own company ODD ATELIER. The song quickly reached #1 on iTunes in more than 60 countries and reached the top of the Billboard Global 200. Jennie also appeared at major fashion events such as the Met Gala 2025 and became the exclusive global ambassador for Chanel Beauty, affirming her position as the world's leading "It Girl".
Rosé made fans emotional with the release of her new album "Rosie". With her emotional music and signature vocals, Rosé won many accolades from international experts, and successfully held fan showcases in New York, Paris and Seoul.
Lisa continued to make history when she released the English single "Rockstar", in collaboration with international artists.
