The status of BLACKPINK and YG's group contracts has been re-signed, but many fans are still worried because their individual contracts have not yet been announced. According to Korean media, only 2/4 of the members went on to re-sign with YG.

After 4 months of "sitting on the fire", BLINK was finally able to breathe a sigh of relief when YG announced a successful contract extension with BLACKPINK. Yang Hyun Suk said he would firmly support and do his best for BLACKPINK to shine brightly in the global music market.

Although BLACKPINK has now re-signed with YG, a part of fans are worried because the re-signing contract is only for the purpose of "group activities". As for the individual contract, on December 6, YG officials said that there are currently discussions between the company and the members.

On the morning of December 7, Dispatch reported that Yang Hyun Suk was the biggest beneficiary after BLACKPINK re-signed. In particular, Dispatch also revealed in the article, "Although YG has renewed their contract with BLACKPINK regarding group activities, they are still discussing individual activities. Reportedly, some members have expressed their intention to go their separate ways rather than with YG when it comes to individual activities."

More specifically, if BLACKPINK signs a group contract but does not sign an individual contract with YG but switches to different companies, the 4 BLACKPINK members will only participate in the group's joint activities under YG such as group albums, concerts, world tours,...

Previously, there were many information circulating about the 4 BLACKPINK members being negotiating terms with different companies. Rosé was spotted having a private meeting with Ron Penny, president and CEO of Columbia Records. Lisa has repeatedly been emphasized by Korean media for deciding to go her own way early. As for Jisoo - Jennie, there was information reported by Korean media when the two would set up their own agency.

However, South Korea's Munhwa Ilbo newspaper once revealed that 2/4 of the members are considering continuing to sign personal contracts with YG. An entertainment industry executive said, "There are places that pay tens of billions of won upfront to recruit them. However, some members believe that cooperation with YG will be more effective, as the agency has a lot of experience supporting BLACKPINK's activities so far, so they are still communicating with YG."

Talking about Yang Hyun Suk, in the morning of 7/12, the Korean media's Dispatch news website also said that Yang Hyun Suk - YG production director and also the largest shareholder of YG became the biggest beneficiary when the value of his shares increased by approximately 38.8 billion won (about 735 billion VND) within just 1 day.

YG's stock price shows strength thanks to the news that it has signed contract extensions with all BLACKPINK members. With the announcement that they have signed an exclusive contract with BLACKPINK for group activities, 4 members including Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé and Lisa will be operating under YG's direction.

Director Yang Hyun Suk said, "I'm happy to be able to maintain this relationship with BLACKPINK. In the future, BLACKPINK will try their best to shine even brighter in the global music market as well as in the K-pop artist market. We offer our support and unwavering belief in their future activities."

Yang Hyun Suk, YG's largest shareholder, currently holds 16.87% and is considered the biggest beneficiary of the stock's surge following the news of his re-signing with BLACKPINK. Based on the previous day's closing price (48,000 won), Yang's stake is now worth more than 151 billion won. But after the news of the re-signing of the contract, the value of shares has now reached more than 190 billion won (equivalent to about 3.4 trillion dong).
