Baby Monster is 'untalented' in Kpop, new album encounters 'tense changes', defeated by ILLIT?

A Japanese newspaper published the results of a survey to determine the least talented KPop girl group. The survey was based on 500 people in Japan, in which Babymonster received the most votes (166).

Some of the reasons given by those surveyed were that Babymonster looked too similar, had no personality, and was unable to stand out from the crowd. Others said that YG Entertainment's new group lacked appeal when compared to other KPop girl groups of the same generation.

However, this result immediately caused controversy in the KPop music fan community. Babymonster is a group carefully selected through YG's survival program, so the girls all have good vocal and dancing skills. On music shows, the 7 members also showed their outstanding live singing ability, so the group being ranked as "the least talented KPop girl group" made the audience extremely angry.

The Japanese newspaper is currently receiving a lot of criticism for this survey. In addition to the YG group, aespa and Le Sserafim are also on the list. aespa received 79 votes, which is considered to lack diversity and uniqueness. The appearance of aespa on the list caused outrage as the group is considered one of the groups with the best live singing skills of the 4th generation.

Talking about their YG Entertainment labelmates 2NE1 and BLACKPINK, the members expressed their great honor to be able to gain attention from the very first day of their debut thanks to their famous seniors. "Our dream has long been to walk the same path as our idol artists. We will work hard until we reach a moment where we can be completely proud of ourselves," BABYMONSTER affirmed.

In addition, the YG group continuously affirms that the perfect projects that the group introduces to the public demonstrate "bold ambition" when entering the K-Pop industry.

Most recently, according to Korean media, Baby Monster will make a grand comeback this November with a full album titled "Drip". Initially, the album list was announced to only have one title track, "Drip".

However, according to the latest information from the group, in addition to the original title track "Drip", the group has decided to promote another song, following the "double title" trend that is increasingly popular in K-pop. This helps their main single stand out more.

The second title track chosen by Baby Monster is "Clik Clak". This song has been introduced to fans in advance. The new album will be released on November 1 at 1 p.m. Korean time. Before that, Baby Monster has started filming the music video for their debut album, marking their big comeback.

YG Entertainment also announced that BabyMonster is preparing to release their first full-length album and that they are in the process of filming multiple music videos, including one for the title track. The agency added that with full support, the company is completing this major project by filming at multiple secure locations with a large budget.

Recording for Baby Monster's debut album has been completed and choreography for some of the songs has been done. YG Entertainment said that Baby Monster's comeback with the album "Drip" is considered their big plan this year. Many audiences expect Baby Monster to create a fever with the series of achievements after releasing "Drip".

Along with Baby Monster, ILLIT also had a notable album performance. According to album distributors Genie Music and Stone Music Entertainment, rookie girl group ILLIT's new album, I'll Like You, has recorded over 550,000 pre-orders, breaking their previous record of around 210,000 pre-orders for their debut project (Super Real Me) released in early March.
