Anh Vien's name was well known and noticed in 2011, when she successfully broke 2 regional records, won 6 gold medals and became the best athlete at the Southeast Asian Age Group Championships. With her natural talent and relentless training, at the 26th SEA Games, Anh Vien excellently won 2 silver medals in the 100m backstroke and 400m medley for her country when she was just 15 years old.

At the next SEA Games, Anh Vien continuously won many awards and became the only Vietnamese female athlete to win the SEA Games swimming gold medal after 54 years. "Little mermaid" continuously swept the big and small swimming awards and was promoted to Captain by the Ministry of Defense when he was only 18 years old.

In 2020, Anh Vien's performance went down, she failed in the group stage in the swimming events of the Summer Olympics - Tokyo Olympics. However, fisherman Anh Vien has always worked tirelessly, in 2021, she won 5 gold medals, 1 silver medal in individual content as well as 2 gold medals and 2 silver medals in relay content at the 25m national championship in Thua Thien - Hue.
