Angelina Jolie reveals her past every day '2 packs', the motivation to give up shocks fans?

Angelina Jolie used to smoke two packs of snails a day before participating in ' Tomb Raider'. To prepare her health for filming, she was force.d to train and wean.

Actress Angelina Jolie (49 years old) attends the Santa Barbara International Film Festival in Santa Barbara, California, USA. She shared about her life and career when she received the Maltin Modern Master award.

"There were a few months of nothing but a lot of training sessions a day," the actress recalled.

During a Q&A with critic Leonard Maltin, Angelina Jolie talked about her iconic role as Lara Croft in 2001's Tomb Raider and her physical preparation for the film.

She shared: "I smoked two packs of methamphetamine a day and had to make a complete change for my health and life, and discovered that I could do things that I didn't think I could do for a long time," she said, adding that the film "changed everything" for her.

Jolie said she started training "very hard" for Tomb Raider, which is completely different from her previous lifestyle. That exercise habit eventually helped her lose weight since she began to change to a healthier lifestyle.

"When I was working on Tomb Raider, there were a few months when I just practiced every day: morning, noon, and night. And I want nothing but good food, water to drink and sleep at a certain time. I trained and that's what my body wants me to change," the actress recalled.

Angelina Jolie said that after the movie, she had a bab.y and left her husband permanently. The actress is the mother of 6 children: Maddox (23 years old), Pax (21 years old), Zahara (20 years old), Shiloh (18 years old) and twins Knox Léon - Vivienne Marcheline (16 years old).

As a famous female star in showbiz, few people know that Angelina Jolie pursued an acting career to fulfill her mother's dream of becoming an actress, not because of passion.

However, Angelina Jolie also clarified that Marcheline Bertrand did not make her feel that it was a sacrifice, the 50-year-old star shared: "She really wanted me to be an actress. I don't remember how I made that choice, but I remember it made my mom happy. My mother is my manager and we are a team."

In an interview with W magazine, the Dark Fairy star shared about her late mother - Mrs. Marcheline Bertrand: "I did it from the beginning because it was my mother's dream. She pursued an acting career, but when she was 25, she was divorced and had two children, so she decided to focus her whole life on motherhood."

The Oscar-winning actress confessed that she always wanted to buy a house for her mother and even started paying the bills for Marcheline Bertrand as soon as she earned her first month's salary.

In 2007, Marcheline Bertrand died after being diagnosed with ovarian cancer and breast cancer at the ag.e of 57. Angelina Jolie recalled: "When my mother died, it became more difficult for me to become an actress because I realized she was the one who was most responsible."

The actress said that the loss of her mother was the biggest pai.n: "When I look back at that time, I can see how my mother's deat.h affected me. It wasn't sudden, but it changed a lot of things inside me. Losing my mother's love, warm and soft arms is like someone tearing my protective blanket."

Marcheline Bertrand and actor Jon Voight married in 1971. The couple has 2 children together, James Haven and Angelina Jolie. But they soon divorced because of Jon Voight's infidelity.

"When my father fell in love, my mother's life changed. It blew away dreams of her family life. But she still loves motherhood and loves us," the Hollywood actress said.
