Knox has been spotted shopping with her mother and sisters several times over the past week. Knox and her 18-year-old sister Shiloh went to the supermarket to buy a cart full of water and other essentials over the weekend. The sisters wore face masks to stay safe amid the smoke and dust from the city's wildfires.
According to People, Angelina and her children are actively helping victims evacuate after the nearly week-long wildfire burned 40,000 acres of land, destroying thousands of homes in Los Angeles. Angelina has welcomed friends and relatives - who lost their homes or were affected - to stay at the family's mansion in the Los Feliz neighborhood, California.
"Angie is heartbroken to see people lose their homes in the fires. She is doing everything she can to help, even opening her home to friends and family," the source said.
The insider also revealed that the Eternals actress has donated to a charity that provides meals to victims and firefighters in Los Angeles. Her children Maddox, Pax Thien, Zahara, Shiloh, Knox and Vivienne have volunteered to help people affected by the wildfires across Southern California.
Earlier, on January 10, Angelina and her 16-year-old son went to a grocery store near their home in Los Feliz, California to buy water and other necessities. They loaded many items into the trunk of their car and drove back to their $25 million mansion.
Speaking to Dailymail, the 49-year-old actress expressed her concerns about the bushfires and said she was helping people evacuate to her home. When asked if she would donate to the relief efforts, she replied: "I will, but right now I am looking after my loved ones and welcoming them into my home."
The Los Feliz neighborhood where Angelina Jolie lives with her six children was not affected by the devastating fire. She bought the mansion a few years ago, after her split from actor Brad Pitt.
The Los Angeles wildfires began Tuesday, January 7, in Pacific Palisades and spread to neighboring areas due to strong winds. As of January 10, five major fires were burning across Los Angeles, scorching nearly 30,000 acres and destroying more than 10,000 structures, according to Page Six. More than 100,000 residents were evacuated and at least 10 people were kille.d. Officials said firefighters âhope to make significant progressâ on the fires by Saturday.
Many celebrities have donated mone.y, supplies or directly helped people in need. Oscar-winning actress Jamie Lee Curtis said she and her husband donated $1 million to help victims of the disaster. Kylie Jenner, Mark Zuckerberg, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have also donated to local relief organizations.
On Friday, actress Jennie Garner joined relief efforts to help provide meals to firefighters and victims. Stars Halle Berry, Sharon Stone, Michelle Pfeiffer and others also donated clothes to those who lost their homes.
As an ambassador for the nonprofit Save the Children, Jennifer Garner said the organization would be present in the shelters to support children and parents through the crisis.
