The final round of Miss Grand Vietnam 2024 has ended and found the new Miss and 4 runners-up. After the coronation, information about the beauty queens has received much attention from beauty fans. Among them, the 3rd runner-up of Miss Grand Vietnam 2024 - Lam Thi Bich Tuyen.

Before being crowned as the runner-up at Miss Grand Vietnam this year, Lam Thi Bich Tuyen participated in famous beauty contests such as Miss World Vietnam 2019 (Top 15) and Miss Universe Vietnam 2019 (Top 15). After those achievements, Bich Tuyen continued her modeling career, becoming a potential face collaborating with many designers such as Cong Tri, Le Thanh Hoa, and Do Long.

Becoming a model in the fashion industry is something Bich Tuyen did not dare to think about. Bich Tuyen said she was born into a family in a rural area in An Giang province. Since childhood, she was attached to farming work, not thinking that one day she would become a model or participate in a beauty pageant. After graduating from Ho Chi Minh City College of Culture and Arts, she gradually became interested in art, found it suitable for herself, so she decided to pursue it.

"I used to be afraid of being judged and evaluated. Through stumbling and failing in life, I realized that having a dream without action will never surpass yourself. I decided to return to the beauty pageant to show everyone the spirit of never giving up, any effort will achieve certain achievements," said Lam Bich Tuyen.

Since childhood, Bich Tuyen has made her parents worried because she looked very weak and fragile. Therefore, Bich Tuyen's parents always hoped that she would soon find a place to rely on.

"My parents were worried about me, so they just wanted their daughter to find a husband so that someone could take care of her. When I had just graduated from 12th grade, my family told me that studying was enough, then they would ask a matchmaker to help me get married. I cried a lot when my parents did not let me take the university entrance exam but only forced me to get married. Every time someone came to my house to see a girl, I secretly ran to the neighbor's house to hide, determined not to let anyone see me."

Because of her marriage, Bich Tuyen had conflicts with her family. With her own opinions, Bich Tuyen was determined to convince her parents to go to Ho Chi Minh City to study. Despite her determination, her parents did not force her to get married, but still wanted her to live in the countryside because they were afraid of the temptations of the city. It was not until Bich Tuyen passed the entrance exam to the College of Culture and Arts that her family allowed her to study far away. Every month, they still sent money so that their child could study with peace of mind and not have to work hard.

Later, when the incident happened - Bich Tuyen's father passed away from cancer - the beauty from An Giang returned home to live with her mother. She also understood her parents' thoughts about her: "We Westerners often think that loving our children means finding them a good husband, so that they don't have to struggle hard in society. Many of my friends got married early, some got married before they were 18, and now have two children. It's normal for my parents to worry."

After the family incident, Bich Tuyen became stronger. Her return to the beauty pageant also received more support from her family. Throughout the Miss Grand Vietnam 2024 contest, Bich Tuyen was one of the notable faces. Before the final round, she also entered many predicted rankings and finally finished as the 3rd runner-up. After the coronation, Bich Tuyen received the attention of beauty fans, along with netizens spreading information that the beauty queen had a rather difficult life.

However, contrary to rumors, Bich Tuyen said her family is not under as much financial pressure as people think. During her time studying in Ho Chi Minh City, her family wanted her to focus on her studies so they sent her money every month. Currently, Bich Tuyen's mother lives in the countryside with her younger brother. After her father passed away, there was no one to farm, so Bich Tuyen's mother rented out 26 hectares of land (2.6 hectares) to others to earn income. Currently, Bich Tuyen is also a personal trainer at a beauty academy. She said that the title she just achieved is a launching pad to help her develop future career plans.
