4th runner-up Mai Ngo: 10 years of struggling to take the exam, being famous is also full of scandal

Although there has been a convincing journey to Miss Grand Vietnam in the hearts of the public, it was not enough to convince the judges with the highest title for Mai Ngo.

Mai Ngo is no longer a strange name to Vietnamese audiences. Before participating in Miss Vietnam Peace, she also fought in many big beauty contests, but not always the glory smiled at this brave and passionate girl.

Mai Ngo was born in 1995, from Ho Chi Minh City, owns a height of 1.73 m and a three-round measurement of 86 - 67 - 100 cm. In the early days of participating in Miss Grand Vietnam 2022, she belonged to a group of highly regarded contestants with a wealth of experience and good performance.

Before Miss Grand Vietnam, she has been active in the entertainment industry for a long time, participating in many different playgrounds, having achieved top 18 Vietnam's Next Top Model 2013, top 12 Asia's Next Top Model 2016, runner-up The Face Vietnam 2016 Mai Ngo tried twice at Miss Universe Vietnam (2015 and 2017) but both failed and did not go deep.

On the journey of struggling to take the exam, Mai Ngo was also entangled in a series of controversies. She was fined 22.5 million dong for voluntarily taking Asia's Next Top Model exam without being licensed by the regulatory agency. The image of Mai Ngo appearing through reality TV shows is a careless, impulsive girl who likes shocking statements and "drama".

Mai Ngo's saying "In this world anything can happen" went viral throughout social networks. At Miss Universe Vietnam 2017, she left a negative impression.

When asked by the judges for personal information, Mai Ngo did not introduce them, but asked the judges to search for their own information online. This answer is considered disrespectful to the examiner. In a broadcast episode, Mai Ngo also voluntarily left the catwalk class. When she was reminded by Pham Huong, she replied: "Now I don't know what to say anymore". Then, because of public pressure, Mai Ngo withdrew from the contest.

In 2020, Mai Ngo suddenly changed direction, launched her debut product called Guess See and announced to be a rapper. A year later, she joined the casting of Rap Viet season two but was eliminated. And the music career also stops there.

Returning to Miss Grand Vietnam 2022, Mai Ngo shared that she wants to bring a more mature image, find and conquer dreams, and inspire people. From the Sea Beauty show to the English presentation sub-test, this candidate all completed smoothly.

In the final round, Mai Ngo once again scored with a swimsuit performance. Energy, charisma are undeniable things in every step of her catwalk. And it is understandable when Mai Ngo is classified as a potential candidate. Of course, compared to other heavyweights, she has limitations in body shape, facial contours are not standard Miss.

Sharing with Zing at the final night, Mai Ngo said she was confident with her beauty and felt comfortable performing in any outfit. Although the evening dress she chose was commented too sexy, revealing her weaknesses.
