Yen Tattoo: Vbiz female singer donates money to flood victims, music career "bland"

Yen Tatoo suddenly became the center of attention of the online community after being exposed for "covering up" the amount of money donated to support the people of the North affected by storms and floods. In the face of fierce criticism, Yen Tatoo spoke up to explain and apologize.

The Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front has just continued to publish nearly 20,000 pages of statements of donations to flood victims on September 11 and 12. In the list of donations on September 11, a message with the content "Yen tattoo would like to share with flood victims" was sent from an account with 500,000 VND attached. After that, the account owner sent another 5 million VND with similar content.

Immediately after that, the incident caused a stir on social networks. The reason was that before that, on her personal page, Yen Tattoo posted a screenshot of the transaction, the amount displayed was hundreds of millions of dong. After the incident caused controversy, Yen Tattoo apologized. The female singer admitted to "faking the screen".

She shared: "The past time has been a very difficult time for Yen, both mentally and financially. But that is nothing compared to the losses that families directly affected by the storm are suffering."

She explained the two transfers: "It was 1:23 p.m. on September 11. Yen had just woken up from her afternoon nap. She thought she would donate 5,000,000 VND, but she mistakenly transferred 500,000 VND, and immediately after that, Yen transferred another 5,000,000 VND at 1:24 p.m., just 1 minute before."

Yen Tatoo admitted her mistake: "Yen's mistake was faking the screen, the purpose was to let the person who gave Yen an advance know that she supported and if she asked for additional advances from other parties, there would be a basis for them to look at."

She also shared more about the total amount of money donated: "Up to now, all that Yen has donated from supporting the Fatherland Front, transferring money to relief groups, sending to buy necessities outside, old clothes, medicine... is nearly 40 million. Although the number is nothing compared to everyone else out there, in Yen's current situation, that is all I can do."

Ironically, this incident surprised netizens because they learned that Yen Yen Tattoo used to be a singer. Yen Tattoo, real name Le Hai Yen, born in 1996 in Thanh Hoa, is a social media phenomenon.

Her music career is almost unknown, only known to a few people through her covers. She once caused a stir in the online community through her cover versions of hit songs such as "I was born in Thanh Hoa", "Em cua ngay hom qua ban van quy duc Bo Giao duc", "Em khong doi qua"... attracting hundreds of thousands of views on YouTube. But until now, her name has faded into the past, her appearance is so strange that no one recognizes her.

In 2015, Yen Tattoo registered to participate in the competition "The Voice" (Vietnamese Voice) season 3. With a stable performance in the blind round, she was chosen by singer Thu Phuong to join her team. However, in the confrontation round, the Thanh singer was defeated by her teammates and was at risk of stopping here, but luck came to her when singer My Tam gave her the opportunity to go to the next round.

Although she did not advance further in the Voice of Vietnam 2015, Yen Tattoo left a good impression on the coaches and the audience. After the competition, she returned to continue her unfinished studies at Thanh Hoa University of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

During this time, her life encountered many difficulties. From health problems to psychological crises, her singing was not given much attention. However, she still regularly released parody songs. But that was it, during this period she was quite quiet, without any outstanding musical activities.

After stabilizing her mental state, the singer born in 1996 began to return to the entertainment industry by actively participating in a series of TV shows such as: Masked Singer in 2017 (Huong Tram episode), Who's Voice Season 2 (duet with MIN), Mysterious Voice (2018), Duet Peak Season 3, Perfect Mystery (2019), ... and received a lot of support from her beloved audience.
