According to Myanmar media, the police have arrested the person behind the "chicken herding" ring, Vuong Tinh. He is the boss of Apolo Huy Hoang Company - a large labor brokerage company with many offices in China. He is called "Ngoc Tong" (Director Ngoc), nicknamed Kim Lao Ho, and is from Guangdong (China).

The person who directly tricked Vuong Tinh was Kim Xan - this person has been arrested. The actor said that the criminal group trained him to type and 'herd chickens' through text messages. According to Hongxing News, on the afternoon of January 8, based on the initial investigation, Thai police concluded that Vuong Tinh had fallen into the net of human traffickers. He will be allowed to return to China in the next 1-2 days.

Wong Jing said he will actively cooperate with the police investigation. The actor thanked the Thai government and the immigration office for helping him stay safe. If given the chance, Wong Jing would like to return to Thailand. His health is currently normal but his mental state is not really stable.

Dan Tri newspaper quoted General Thatchai Pitanilabutr, Inspector General of the Royal Thai Police, as saying that Wang Jing is currently in stable mental condition and good health. Through the preliminary investigation results of the Thai Immigration Police, Wang Jing was determined to have fallen into the net of human traffickers. Earlier, late on January 5, Jia Jia - Wang Jing's girlfriend - posted a plea for help, hoping to receive help from everyone as well as the authorities after many days of not being able to contact her boyfriend. Jia Jia tried to contact her lover for 3 days but to no avail. On January 6, Wang Jing's girlfriend and his parents flew to Bangkok, Thailand and went to the embassy and local police station to file a case.
