Vu Quynh Trang: "Sidewalk beauty queen" unexpectedly wears Vietnam sash to compete in Miss Tourism

Vu Quynh Trang was born in 1997 and graduated from the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam with a degree in International Communication. She is currently the creative director of a brand specializing in women's care and beauty.

Few people know that Quynh Trang once competed in a beauty pageant. She was in the top 10 of Miss Universe Vietnam 2019 and won the Beauty with Courage award. In addition, she registered to compete in Miss Vietnam 2020 and Miss Universe Vietnam 2022.

During her time competing in beauty contests, Vu Quynh Trang impressed with her beautiful appearance, 1.7m tall, and measurements of 84-60-94. The beauty once weighed 62 kg and had to lose 12 kg to be ready to participate in beauty contests.

In real life, Vu Quynh Trang pursues a youthful, trendy style. Since opening her food channel, she has been associated with the ao dai, in all styles and colors. When eating at street stalls, the "Sidewalk Queen" still wears the ao dai. She says the outfit gets dirty easily and is difficult to wash, but she still wants to wear the ao dai to convey cultural beauty.

She currently owns a TikTok page with over 200K followers and many clips reaching millions of views. Not just a food reviewer, "Sidewalk Beauty" also makes an impression with her beautiful visuals, standard height and unique ao dai.

Leaving the beauty pageant and returning to life as a TikToker, Vu Quynh Trang once shared: "I have no regrets, because I think participating in a beauty pageant and achieving certain success will be a very good launching pad for me to move in a different direction. From the beginning, I shared with everyone that my TikTok channel will not only focus on cuisine but will have stories about culture, travel and everyday life.

There may not be many personal stories in it, but hopefully everyone can see what a young Hanoi girl who loves culinary culture is like. Although I don't mention that I used to compete in beauty pageants in each video, there are still people who recognize and wonder, so I'm really happy about that.

The reality is that when returning from a beauty pageant, each person's name only exists for a very short period of time, even just after a month if you are not a beauty queen. If you are not crowned, no one will remember who you are. Thanks to "Sidewalk Queen", Trang is recognized and loved every time she goes out even without wearing Ao Dai. I feel very proud of that and I feel like I am contributing something to the community."

With the title tiktoker, or beauty, when asked which name she likes better, Vu Quynh Trang shared: "I think with the name TikToker or Miss Universe Vietnam contestant, both are good! Recently, many people do not like being called Tiktoker because this is only limited to this platform, but I think that every clip posted on this platform has a message behind it. Therefore, if possible, everyone can change TikToker to Content Creator, it will be more suitable.

For me, every position and name represents a beautiful youth and I feel proud of myself. When competing in beauty pageants, I fought with all my might, even though I knew winning the prize was too difficult for someone like me. Luckily, I created my own highlight and achieved success with the award of the Brave Beauty. Even until now, my 30-second presentation from the Brave Beauty contest is still shared quite a lot. There are many clips that have reused my voice as background music.

Although it seemed that the beauty contest had ended for Vu Quynh Trang, recently, the beauty unexpectedly received an invitation to represent Vietnam in the Miss Tourism International contest.
