After many days of emergency at the Hospital of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Ho Chi Minh City, director Vu Minh passed away at the age of 56.

It is known that the younger brother of director Vu Minh returned to Vietnam from abroad to coordinate the funeral with Xuan Lan. The place of the funeral will be announced later.

Immediately after receiving the news of director Vu Minh's death from model Xuan Lan, MC Dai Nghia also shared on his personal page a very touching farewell line.

It is known that before becoming the current top-selling MC, Dai Nghia collaborated with the Idecaf stage for a very long time. Here, he has succeeded in many roles, including many plays by the late director Vu Minh.

On the 4th day of the last Lunar New Year, director Vu Minh had a fever and cough. On the 11th day, he had severe abdominal pain, exhausted, and needed emergency care. The PCR test was negative for Covid-19, so the doctor performed emergency surgery because of an intestinal blockage and a serious lung problem.

After that, he had severe respiratory failure, the doctor had to be transferred to the intensive care unit. After nearly 10 days of treatment, the internal organs are stable but the lungs are still in a serious condition. A few days later, the situation had improved positively.

However, the doctor later announced that he had discovered a strange virus in Vu Minh's brain. As a result, his health, which was very "sensitive", fell into an unpredictable state, and the expensive treatment journey started all over again. Finally he left.

It is known that more than 20 years ago, Vu Minh was hospitalized for pneumonia and multi-organ failure. He experienced severe respiratory failure and was in a coma for quite some time. His family had prepared a funeral for him, when he suddenly regained consciousness and was well before the emergency this time.

Director Vu Minh fell ill during a time of family difficulties, the IDECAF artist collective was dedicated but still could not afford the expensive treatment costs because of the need for advanced technical intervention and special drugs. Therefore, model Xuan Lan represented to call for donations to help director Vu Minh.

Vu Minh's funeral will be organized by Xuan Lan and the younger brother of director Vu Minh.

Director Vu Minh is one of the solid directors of the IDECAF stage. Here, he produced many plays of high artistic quality such as: The Last Lie, The Good Man of the 5th House, The Doctor (author Luu Quang Vu). Besides, he created many hit plays such as: Beast Contract, Two-Piece Assassin.

Particularly for the program "Once Upon a Time", he has succeeded with about 17 plays, of which are typical: Na Tra bouncing the aquarium, Son Tinh-glass, Thanh Giong.

On May 13, 2021, his new show "Captain Sinbad and the Dark Mermaid" was reviewed. Due to the covid-19 pandemic, the show has been postponed.

Not only succeeding as a director, Vu Minh was also invited to teach at the University of Theater & Film. He is also in charge of acting training at the IDECAF stage and contributes to the creation of many new talents.

Talking about director Vu Minh, People's Artist Tran Minh Ngoc commented that the late director wrote the script and staged more than 20 plays for the program "Once Upon a Time", each play is attractive to children and always " sold out".

"Dynamic and with many new tricks in staging and composition, it is important that Vu Minh works in a stage with abundant human resources. They are skilled actors, multi-style. And that's it. It is also a pressure for Vu Minh to move forward after each work. However, the place that gives him new energy is plays for children "- People's Artist Tran Minh Ngoc said.
