Artist Quy Binh passed away a while ago, but the grief of those left behind is still too much. Meanwhile, the audience is paying special attention to the artist's wife, as she is constantly being made difficult by her husband's family and condemned by the online community.
After a long time of being immersed in the pain of loss, businesswoman Ngoc Tien, wife of the late singer Quy Binh, suddenly appeared on the YouTube channel Tam Xi Pho to open up about the harsh hidden corners she had to face. Not only did Ngoc Tien suffer great pain from losing her life partner, she also had to endure a wave of fierce condemnation from public opinion and no small amount of pressure from her husband's "extended family".
Ngoc Tien opened the conversation with a heartbreaking question: "Why did you guys curse so much when my husband died?". She expressed her surprise and indignation at having to endure a wave of fierce condemnation on social media, which seriously affected her real life. "I remember when I got married, I didn't bother you guys at all. I never went on Facebook to scold anyone. When Binh was alive, no one said anything to me, but when Binh passed away, all the sins were poured on me!", she shared with tears.
Businesswoman Ngoc Tien admitted that at first she was "very stubborn" in the face of the insults and tried to ignore them. However, over time, the vicious words piled up, causing her to be "disillusioned" and fall into a state of severe shock. Notably, she said that this negative information seemed to come from "relatives of Mr. Quy Binh who made up stories and criticized" . The incident became even more frightening when she was attacked by a stranger, who swung his arm to hit her right on the way to the pagoda on her husband's 49th day. Although she was fortunately not hit, that terrifying moment became an obsession, forcing her to speak out about the consequences of the baseless accusations.
Ngoc Tien also revealed for the first time the real reason why Quy Binh's ashes had to be buried earlier than expected, after 49 days instead of 100 days as she had wished. Initially, she asked the monk for permission to leave it for 100 days and also announced the same to the audience. "But then, I was attacked. They said that I intentionally left his ashes for 100 days to receive envelopes and letters. Even though the envelope was just a letter written by the audience, it still turned into an envelope of money. That put me under pressure so I had to scatter the ashes early," she explained.
The absurdity of the accusation of "receiving envelopes" created an extremely large amount of pressure, putting her in a difficult position. Not only that, Ngoc Tien also revealed another important factor: "The fact that I had to scatter his ashes for 49 days was the idea of the extended family. I said this not to blame others, but to communicate clearly on the phone. I am a junior, so I listen to the elders. If the elders decide like that, there must be a reason for the elders." This shows that Ngoc Tien was under pressure not only from public opinion but also from the decisions of her husband's family, making her "powerless" to face the personal wishes and will of the deceased.
Ngoc Tien's pain was compounded by her inability to fulfill her wish to build a grave for her husband. She wanted a specific place for her son - Thanh Minh - to visit his grave, and for her to have a place to burn incense. However, she had to cremate him because that was "Binh's last wish", which he had told his eldest sister. And even though she did not want to scatter the ashes but wanted to leave them for a while and then bury them, she could not do as she wished.
This torment made her feel "bad". "At this moment, when his family did not let me go home for 100 days, I realized that I was bad because I did not fight from the beginning to avoid scattering the ashes", she shared. This statement shows Ngoc Tien's deep inner conflict when standing between public pressure and family control.
In the end, Ngoc Tien chose to let go, wishing for peace for everyone: "But that's it, I say it to reassure the audience, let's be happy for each other. The past is over, don't worry about why it happened early or late, but please feel sorry for me. There are things I can't do. The ancients said, clothes can't get over your head, parents are the four parents".
Through Ngoc Tienâs confessions, the public can see a hidden corner of pressure and loneliness that a wife must bear when her husband passes away, especially when the husband is a public figure. This is a strong reminder of the need for understanding, sympathy and responsibility of each individual in cyberspace and in dealing with those who are facing tragedy.
