However, Porter's children - Quincy, Christian, Jessie and D'Lila - deny this information. They condemned the book as completely fabricated in a joint statement on Instagram on September 24.

"The claims that our mother wrote a book are completely untrue. She didn't write, and anyone who claims to have a manuscript is misrepresenting themselves," the statement read. "Anyone who claims to be a 'friend' to speak for our mother or her family is not a friend, and they don't have our mother's best interests at heart."

Christian, 26, twins Jessie and D'Lila, 17, are the children of Porter and Diddy. Quincy, 33, is Porter's son from a previous relationship, but he was primarily raised by Diddy. The Instagram post is the first statement they have made since the 1969-born rapper was arrested, and all four did not directly mention the criminal case against their father.

Perhaps in response to the details of the alleged physical impact that Diddy inflicted on Porter in the book, the children said that the amount of "false and hurtful rumors" circulating about their parents' relationship forced them to speak out.

Responding to the authenticity of the information, publisher Chris Todd claimed that he had obtained the book from Kim's close friends who allegedly kept the USB containing the character's information. However, Chris Todd did not release any documentary evidence to verify. As for the confidant, Al B. Sure! and Kim Potter's best friend, Eboni Elektra, both thought the memoir was fake.
