Van Quang Long passed away 4 years ago, his parents still have not recovered from the pain, tearfully recounting their life

Four years after the death of singer Van Quang Long, the lives of his relatives, specifically his parents, have received much attention. Although some time has passed, the family still cannot overcome the pain.

On September 27, singer Thanh Thao shared some photos and clips of her visit to Van Quang Long’s grave. On this occasion, she also took the time to visit his house, meet and chat with his parents.

According to Thanh Thao, Van Quang Long's parents have not yet overcome the pain of losing their son. In front of the male singer's grave, his mother choked up because she always missed her son. "It's been a long time, my son. Today is the day of reunion, your parents and close friends came to visit you. Very emotional. Memories of the past, when you brought your songs to people's hearts, making life happy. Friends and audiences always miss you," Van Quang Long's father shared.

Nearly 4 years after Van Quang Long passed away, Thanh Thao said she still feels like he is by her side, not far away. The singer keeps the habit of taking a set of dishes and a chair for him when she has the opportunity to meet close colleagues at home. Every time she returns to Vietnam, Thanh Thao stops by Dong Thap to visit Van Quang Long's parents and burn incense for him.

"There is no greater longing than missing your most beloved child. I love my parents so much," Thanh Thao said sadly. The concern of colleagues for Van Quang Long somewhat comforted his parents.

Currently, Van Quang Long's parents have gradually stabilized their lives, finding joy in their grandchildren and work. Mrs. Tu - Van Quang Long's mother is a retired teacher but asked to stay at the school to work and open a tutoring class at home.

According to the singer, Van Quang Long's parents - Mr. Le Quang Hieu and Mrs. Nham Thi Tu - both work in the education sector. Mrs. Tu is an excellent teacher, and at retirement age, she still asked to stay at the school to work and open a tutoring class at home.

"She teaches to relieve her boredom and earn some extra money to cover her living expenses. Thanks to her job, the past soon fades away," she said.

Mr. Hieu often takes care of the garden and chats with the neighbors. Since his son passed away, he always reminds his wife to think positively and be a support for the grandchildren. Van Quang Long's children live with their mother in Ho Chi Minh City. They are busy with school so they only occasionally return to their hometown to visit their grandparents. Pham Thanh Thao said that the two children, Trac Ky, born in 2007 and Trac Hy, born in 2012, are good students, following the family tradition. The children are a source of motivation for their grandparents after the incident.

Although Van Quang Long is no longer around, his friends and colleagues still keep in touch with his parents. A year ago, Han Thai Tu celebrated his birthday in Vietnam and welcomed his grandparents to the city for the party. At the party, Mr. Hieu expressed his emotions, feeling "like Long is here with us" when looking at the photos of his son displayed by his friends. He said that over the years, he has maintained the habit of offering fruits and cakes on his son's birthday, death anniversary or special occasions.

Mrs. Tu said she felt compensated and comforted when many generations of students succeeded and passed the entrance exams to famous universities. She is old and still works but does not feel tired because her husband takes care of the meals. On weekends, the couple visits their son's grave about 5 km from home.

Van Quang Long was born in 1979, real name Le Quang Hien, from Dong Thap. He is a former member of the 1088 music group with Dien Thai Toan, Ung Hoang Phuc, Nhat Thien Bao and Nhat Tinh Anh.

After the group disbanded, Van Quang Long continued his solo career. In 2017, he moved to the US to settle down, focusing on restaurant and real estate businesses. He died in December 2020 of a stroke while visiting relatives in another state. His ashes were brought back to Vietnam for burial and interred near his grandparents' graves.
