Currently, there is no specific legal regulation on the level of administrative sanctions for acts of offending beliefs and religions. However, in Clause 1, Article 101 of Decree 15/2020, as amended and supplemented by Clause 37, Article 1 of Decree 14/2022, a fine of between VND 10 million and VND 20 million is imposed on organizations that take advantage of social networks to provide and share information that is untrue, distorts or insults the reputation of agencies and organizations, honor and dignity of individuals.
In case individuals commit violations, the fine level is equal to the fine level imposed on organizations, which will be fined from 5 million to 10 million dong.
At the same time, violators are also forced to remove false or misleading information.
