SUGA humbled himself to apologize to the public, revealing his low spirits, still trying to cover up something?

At 7:43 p.m. on August 23 (Korean time), Suga (BTS) appeared at the Yongsan Police Station in Seoul. The BTS rapper is currently being investigated by the police for violating the Road Traffic Act, specifically driving while intoxicated.

Here, Suga appeared looking tired, haggard and somewhat sad. The male idol born in 1993 bowed his head in apology and said: "First of all, I sincerely apologize. I truly regret disappointing everyone. I will cooperate honestly with the investigation. Once again, I sincerely apologize." However, when the reporter asked why he did not immediately present himself to the police, Suga did not answer but went straight inside.

Suga's evasive attitude towards the media's questions has caused a heated debate among netizens. Many people think that the male idol is trying to cover up the delay in the investigation and avoid the suspicion of lying. Besides, many fans defend Suga that he did so to avoid making a mistake and possibly falling into a disadvantageous position if he gives out wrong information.

At 9pm on August 6, Suga had a meal and drank with an acquaintance at a restaurant near the Hannam intersection. They then went to a nearby studio to drink. The studio is 500 metres from Suga's house in the Nine One Hannam area. At 11pm, the male idol rode a scooter on the sidewalk, passing a bus stop.

At 11:10 p.m., the male idol passed by three riot police officers patrolling the sidewalk of Nine One Hannam in Yongsan District, Seoul. The BTS member lost his balance and fell while turning left into the main gate of Nine One Hannam. His helmet was thrown onto the road. Three police officers approached Suga and took the male idol to the police station.

On August 9, police announced that Suga's blood alcohol level was 0.227% while driving. This number is nearly 8 times higher than the legal limit in Korea of 0.03%. Suga's vehicle was also identified as an electric scooter, which is in the same penalty bracket as a large motor vehicle, a car. The male idol faces a sentence of 2-5 years in prison and a fine of 20 million won (VND 385 million).

The male idol especially lost points in the public eye because of his lies. Immediately after the incident, Suga and HYBE Labels wrote a letter of apology. On August 19, the police directly spoke out for the first time about the BTS member's drunk driving scandal, revealing that HYBE and Suga lied. They affirmed that they did not understand why HYBE Labels announced "Suga was fined and had his driver's license revoked" as if the investigation had ended.

"If the drunk driving suspect is subdued at the scene, the police will explain to them the procedures for handling the case. I don't understand why they made such a statement. Maybe they were drunk and couldn't remember," said a police representative.

The police statement once again exposed the lies in the statements of HYBE and Suga. The company claimed that Suga was fined and had his driver's license revoked, but in reality, the police are conducting an investigation.

Audiences did not accept a global star breaking the law, so Suga was attacked. On August 13, a series of wreaths were sent to HYBE headquarters, urging Suga to handle his violations and asking the male idol to leave the group.

Amidst the storm of anger, HYBE recently made its first statement regarding Suga's departure from the group. Through the media channel YTN, HYBE said: "Suga leaving BTS is impossible. We will apologize more and make more efforts to resolve conflicts with fans." More than a week after Suga's drunk driving incident, HYBE directly denied that the male rapper left the group.
