"I haven't been online for 4 and a half years. That has completely changed my life. I'm happier, I'm more real. I'm more connected to people. It makes me feel like I am. normal person".

The former Disney star revealed she was diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 2020 and she now understands that mental health is of the utmost importance to her.

Having experienced many ups and downs in life, constantly breaking up with famous boyfriends, struggling with lupus, performing a kidney transplant and then having a mental crisis to go to psychological treatment, Selena Gomez said, she openly shared about her problems to avoid false rumors.

"The reason why I speak out about the tribulations that have come in my life is because I want to avoid being fabricated. I want to be able to tell my story the way I want to tell it. After all these things. what happened, I won't deny the past, I won't pretend to smile when things are really bad. I just want to tell my story honestly."

The multi-talented female artist added, she feels her health has stabilized after going to treatment for depression. Selena said: "I feel great right now. I am on the right medication for my mental health. I believe that when you find the right doctor and psychologist, everything will be very good. Mental health care is something to do every day.

There are still days when I find it difficult to get out of bed or fall into a state of severe anxiety. Then I will try to find joy in the most specific ways. I understand that, with my current life, I have to learn to be tougher and stronger even though I'm not that person. I have to understand the choices I'm making. The more I understand my fears, the less I fear them."
