Her family is known for its wealth, has a tradition of emphasizing education and preserving traditional cultural values. She began appearing in small advertising campaigns, participating in local fashion shows, and gradually building a name for herself in the industry. Hard work, professional attitude and ability to learn quickly have helped Rachel gradually assert her position. She is constantly improving her performance skills, communication skills and the ability to work under high pressure. These experiences have created a solid foundation for her before deciding to participate in larger beauty arenas.
The big turning point in Rachel Gupta's career came in 2024 when she decided to participate in the Miss Grand India pageant. With her confidence, radiant beauty, and intelligent behavior, Rachel excellently surpassed hundreds of other contestants to win the Miss Grand India 2024 crown. This victory not only brought her a noble title but also a ticket to represent India at Miss Grand International 2024 â one of the largest and most prestigious beauty contests in the world.
Rachel's journey at Miss Grand International 2024 is a series of impressive performances. She always maintains a stable form, shining in all competitions from evening dresses, swimsuits to behavior contests. With her thorough preparation, stage experience, and ability to attract the public, Rachel Gupta was excellently crowned Miss International Peace 2024, bringing glory to India.
Rachel's victory was recognized by a large audience and experts. She is expected to become an influential beauty queen, carrying the message " End war and violence" of the Miss Grand International organization around the world. In the early days after the coronation, Rachel Gupta was warmly welcomed, receiving great attention from the media and fans. Her life seems to have turned a new, bright, and promising page.
However, the aura of the crown did not last long. Immediately after being crowned, Rachel Gupta began to be entangled in scandals and scandals related to the Miss Grand International organizers. Rumors about a toxic working environment, unfair contract terms and strict control from Mr. Nawat Itsaragrisil â President of Miss Grand International â began to spread.
On May 29, Rachel Gupta posted a nearly hour-long video sharing her bad experiences with Nawat Itsaragrisil and the Miss Grand International (MGI) organization that attracted more than 400,000 views. Previously, the Indian beauty announced the return of the crown, giving up the title of Miss International Peace 2024 after more than half a year in office.
In the tearful video, Rachel Gupta said she was very happy to become the first Indian beauty to be crowned Miss International Peace . However, things then gradually slipped and the 21-year-old queen called these the worst months of her life. "All I get is constant harassment, mental torture, systematic abuse... I want you to know what I went through and how silent I was, how I struggled behind my smile ," she sobbed.
Rachel Gupta confided that after the coronation, she spent most of her time in Thailand participating in activities with MGI but the organizers did not provide proper support. "After winning, you think your dream has come true and the organization will take care of everything for you but that doesn't happen. Immediately after the coronation, I was moved to a cramped hotel room, the room was so small that my suitcase could not open normally because there was not enough space," the beauty born in 2004 recounted.
She said she stayed at the hotel for more than a month and was then moved to a dilapidated house, about an hour to an hour and a half away from the city center, moving into the inner city, MGI's offices and other locations. The queen is lonely, trapped in a deteriorated house, not supported by transportation, unable to meet basic living needs (eating, exercising, communicating, etc.). The beauty has to pay for her daily living expenses and take care of everything herself.
Rachel Gupta revealed that she was physically touched by a representative of the organization, making rude comments and asking her to lose weight. "It made me feel so embarrassed, I felt small and bad ," the beauty said in tears. The former Miss International Peace said President Nawat Itsaragrisil and Vice President Teresa Chaivisut were not interested in her . "They didn't know if I was really alive or if I was gone until we met on the red carpet and smiled together in front of the camera," she said.
Rachel Gupta admitted after the contest that she still had to rely on her family because she had not received remuneration so far while the support from MGI was not given regularly as promised. "I hope to receive remuneration to cover my own finances but in the contract after the coronation it is stated that the award will be paid at the end of the term," the Indian model said.
In addition, Gupta said the MGI organization does not take the side of the girls in difficult circumstances but only blames and degrades them. Miss Grand International 2024 said that she and the winning beauties were turned into a tool to receive sponsorship despite the boss. They have to livestream many times to sell products such as dried chicken, chili sauce, toilet paper...
She said: "I was crowned a Miss International pageant, we have our own careers in our homeland, we do many things and deserve respect. But they only let us sell cheap products on TikTok to help them earn income. You can't say no because your boss has asked you to do it. I used to feel guilty when people were spending their hard-earned income on horrible, low-quality stuff just to support us." Rachel Gupta admitted to feeling guilty for deceiving fans.
The 21-year-old queen is also frustrated when MGI does not focus on charity activities, community work, actions that contribute to repelling war, violence (as they call and as she wishes) because those jobs do not earn income. The Indian queen accused the MGI organization of trying to "scrape" a lot of profits from national directors as well as award-winning beauties. The lack of transparency and materialism in the way of working causes the organization to lose credibility, have problems with national directors and be terminated by many units.
HH MGI was stripped of her crown, accused the organizers of being 'cheap', did all kinds of livestreaming and was banned by Nawat Hanni15:30:32 30/05/2025Miss Grand Organizing Committee has been dominating the international media these past few days as the battle between the reigning Miss and the Organizing Committee has become increasingly tense.
